Ok now just what in the Hell is going on!? I have a bunch of monster_generics dotted around my spirit map (singleplayer) in order to have office supplies and crate contents models scattered around the floor to make the scene look like its been trashed / abandoned in a hurry.

Now, I know this works because I've done it in vanilla HL tons of times. But now, in Spirit, whenever I make a noise nearby / walk over them, the objects rotate as if the entity is turning to face the noise like an NPC would.

How do I stop this from happening?

Don't have an answer, never used spirit. Just wanted to say that office supplies turning to look at the player sounds fucking hilarious. XD

I haven't worked with Spirit in ages, but I'm assuming there has to be a flag or parameter somewhere there that can disable that behaviour. It seems strange that Spirit would alter an original entities function without giving you the ability to revert it..?

Also, I'm with Blitzkrieg, unanimous objects gawking at the player sounds hilarious, include a secret one!

unanimous objects
Don't you mean 'Inanimate'?

That would be hilarious though.

I admit it is pretty funny sometimes. Maybe I should model eyes onto them all?

Nah, its just frustrating because I have a scene with a flashlight lying in a vent with a sprite and a spotlight and it looks awesome...until you aproach it and the bloody flashlight turns towards you. :(

EDIT: Monster_furniture fixed it. Thanks TJB.

EDIT 2: New problem, Monster_Furniture does not allow you to select submodels... I hate mapping.

Why don't you use env_model?

Because I'm an idiot. I even checked that and thought "Nah."

Thanks.

Just a warning, if you cant see the model when you play the game try checking the 'solid' flag. That works sometimes
