Yeah, you've already asked this...

However now that you have you have illustrated how you want your characters and skin .vtf's to look then I believe that could actually be sorted with simply remapping the textures in each of the 9 models in a 3d program such as 3DStudioMax.

There are plenty of tutorials around for that software. However to actually utilise the edited models you will need coding. That involves editing the games .dll's using c++ or some shit like that.

Once again, theres tutorials all over the net.

Actually, this is a new question as the previous query was exploring the use of 2 citizen_sheet.vtf files. Having discovered that it was possible to place 2 uniform combos in one citizen_sheet.vtf I posed this query.

I don't think a 3D app would be necessary as it's only the image sprite placement that I'm looking to adjust. I imagine the .dll files you mention would be the thing to alter.

I'm happy to look on the web for assistance with this but I'm not even sure what I should name the search? That - or where the .dll files live. Any suggestions?

There won't be a tutorial online specifically written on how to do what you need. You'll just have to learn the basics of C++ and practise for a few years until you know what's what.

Hmmm, thought the purpose of forums was to offer 'useful' advice?

Any chance of letting me know what .dll files I need to look at?

Read all that, and if you still don't know, give up. Next time, read what people say instead of being a jerk and saying that they're being useless.

Be careful what you ask for, we might just make that happen.
