I can't select individual faces or paint them. I'm not sure what i've done wrong. Perhaps installed incorrectly. I'm trying to get back into mapping, and thought i had set everything up properly but for some reason I can't texture faces. Or even select them for that matter. anyone know what might be wrong?

I keep having this problem when running off my flash drive... I can select stuff, but the select is buggy.
It's EXTREMELY difficult to select individual faces with the tex tool, and i often times have to do the 'hold down select' trick just to select the proper 3d object....

/hijack (but it's a fresh thread)

Speaking of which, what is required to map off a flash drive? Do you need a copy of the HL directory folders with everything in the place hammer looks for it?

Well i also have WON installed to my flash drive as well..
SO everything's the same, just the directory changes EVERY TIME you switch computers.. which is BS, and you gotta enter in your serial # every time u start HL on a new computer as well.. which is NP really...

O_o

Well, I'll figure it out. I won't get a chance to try it on/use a computer at school until next semester anyway, since the librarian thinks text is a game, how could I convince her otherwise with a 3D level design program?

Lol nah, that's just a younger me messing around with face paint lol. Yeah I used to map off a portable drive, but only ran across that problem on some PCs. I'm running XP XP.
