I need help making a mod called Half Life: Alien Killer, HL Engine. It's where you are a diplomatic scientist, secretly communicating with Aperture Science. However, in the middle of one of his calls, it was interuppted by a distress signal in the Sector Z testlabs (aka gordan freeman's lab). And right in the middle of the trasmission, when you hear them shouting about it not shutting down, BOOSH!!!! The facility falls. Dr. Van Buren (half life sign texture) then meets up in the central part of Sector 23, where several scientist lay hurt. Mr. Van Buren has to crawl into the top of the main power generator, without a suit, and must escape the facility. Lucky for him, the power generator leads into the air vents, where he climbs through and falls into the equipment room. A scientist then asks him to put on the HEV Suit and try to escape the facility. Can I get some help with my mod? Please reply.

To get people to help you, you will need more details, a more detailed story, more information and perhaps some already finished work which you could show off. Also you will need to say specifically what you need help with.
Do you need help with mapping or coding, or perhaps you just need some voice acting?

Also, no one has a clue how much skill you have, and no one will join a mod leader unless they know how good this person is at his job.

I'm guessing you dont have much experience nor skills, and I therefore advice you to put your hopes of making your own mod down for a while, at least until you have the skill and experience needed.

Look at this, follow the guidelines and post with a better overview of your mod.

Also, posting links in the shoutbox to posts you've just made to try and advertise them is typically frowned upon, I believe. Only do that if the thread hasn't caught any attention in a while.

The key to getting a successful mod team together is having work to show first, something to get people interested in the project. (Did you read the link I posted?) Get a solid storyline together, some concept (map layouts, maybe?) and maybe even map out some of the levels, and post some screenshots. And then after all that, we need to know exactly what positions you need filled.

Yeah, sorry to tell this straight to you but stop trying to make mods and get some mapping and communication skill first...
And before you guys start telling me off, remember that project he had a month or two ago? He got me to make a map for him with a tram ride leading to the start of the facility for his mod. I put a months work into it, and he ended up not using it and "removing me from the project" because I created these maps with the newest SHLT tools and his default hammer ones couldn't cope with my map hence he discarded it (even though I told him to get the newest tools and spirit, which he refused to do and told me he needs no shit like that.)
Oh and by the way, yesterday he crawled back to me asking me to make another map for him, even after all of that.

I wouldn't advise any of you guys to join his projects, Unless you like being annoyed by a 11 year old with almost no mapping skills or brain.
