I am creating a map on Hammer 3.4 and I wanted to put a skybox so I clicked on map properties on "Map" menu, then I clicked on environment and wrote the name of the skybox (cl_night) but it doesn't change anything.
What am I doing wrong?

Omit the cl_ prefix, so just enter night in the textbox field. The other valid vanilla skybox names are:
2desert
alien1
alien2
alien3
black
city
cliff
desert
dusk
morning
neb1
neb2
neb6
neb7
night
space
xeno8
xeno9
xeno10

Yeah, the "cl_skyname" thing that is there is only referencing the old console command that was used to set the skyname locally. The command itself nowadays is sv_skyname, however you input the name of the sky there. So, to sum it up: the cl part have nothing to do with the actual sky texture, only the old console command to set the sky texture.
Dr. Orange Dr. OrangeSource good.

I write "night" but doesn't change anything.

P.D.: You can bring up the steam ingame menu on the Hammer editor.

cl_ is an ingame command abbreviation (cl = client, sv = server) you only need to typ names of it.

e.g. cl_skyname "night" <-- ingame console
