OK, I played this map- i think its de_ratsx or something like that and they put a bathroom on the other side of the wall but thats not the point. In this one area there are a ton of pipes and a wheel type thing that you can turn. When you turn it, all the doors shut, and water comes from the ground - thus you drown because the doors are shut + locked. I just want to know how to make the water rise out of the ground so I can make some of my own traps lol

Func_water works just like a func_door. You'll have to give it a name and trigger it. Place one large func_water brush where you want the water to be at it's highest level. Then tinker with the settings to get it working properly. (I know I took the easy way out right there)

oh and SlayerA - I am sorry but I really don't understand at all what your saying, I have never heard of water working like a func_door. Even if it was like that I don't know what to do with it then

OK, now I looked at the doors tutorial but how do I make it move off of a different axis, and how do I change how far it goes without having to guesstimate how big to make it?

Ok Seventh can you please please please make an example map of this, because I have been trying for 3 days to get this thing right and I cannot do it. What I need to do is go into a room, turn a level (or push a button same thing cause I can do that) have the door close and the water go up. I want it to last for 30 seconds and then go back to normal. One more time PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE make me an example map!
