Well I have downloaded 4 model trees....all of them have the same problem.......in the preview (.jpg) it shows them as transparent, so I am sure they are fine....just how do you configure 'em....

there fine. you cant change the transaprancy of a model textures in hammer. you should do that in a prog like wally ore hlmv. but it might be your video card settings. make sure you got the latest drivers and try running in opengl ore d3d

Oh yeaas, models, sorry misread teh post :). Whatevah, create and cycler_model or whatever it was called, and then set the render mode solid and amount 255. In case you didn't know, this whole seetru model thingy works only in Steam mods and stuff.

Recently an engine update came with steam, allowing you to have transparent models. Since you don't have this engine update, you see blue instead of transparant parts.
I've heard this engine update is available outside steam, however, I don't know where to get it. Too bad.

/me slaps head
To see transparency in models, you need the transparent DLLs. They were released for a while before Steam. They work with WON, and are now included in all Steam releases.
I will upload them later (school PCs wont let me DLL them and upload them now).
