my beams always look like lasers. I can never get them to do the wavy beam thing like in the multisource tutorial. plz help.

There is a property in the env_laser nad env_beam options, called noise this adjusts how much the beam waves around. check out the tutorial example map;http://www.cariad.co.za/twhl/tutorialdl/multisource.zip

I just figured that out about 1 minute ago because i was fooling around with the settings. sorry for the useless post. BUT WHO IN THERE RIGHT MINDS WOULD LIST THAT AS "AMOUNT OF NOISE" :( .why not something like amount of warble or something more relevent?

Uh, it's a graphics term. Evidently the engine uses a noise algorithm of some kind to produce the effectual output demonstrated </bs>

Noise is the effect of input variation in relation to beam width.
