I have to make around 200 screenshots from a map I have made in for Half-Life to stream through my 2D Game Engine I made in University for my coursework.

I know all the places I need the screenshots from, I wanted to know if there is a quick and easy way to take them, as I don't really feel like starting the map, taking a screenshot, going out the game, pasting it into photoshop, re-sizing and saving it and then starting all over again 200 times :zonked:

Is there an easier way?

If not, is there a way that I can take screenshots and they are dumped into BMP files numbered from 1 upwards while in the game without having to keep jumping in and out so that I can just use a batch command to re-size the images?

Pressing F5 creates a .bmp file of what's on screen at that moment, you can find these .bmp's in the Half-Life folder.

Succes! :)

Cheers guys, there isnt a batch command I can use to do this for me is there? Like something like I put a player start entity in all the places I need my screenshots, and then I run this command and it goes through each of the player start entities and takes a screenshot for me of the character facing north, east, south and west?

Here is what I need: http://www.nxray.com/uploads/Map(1).gif

I've made the map already, but just need the screenshot bits really badly, and it's a really big pain in the posterior doing this the long winded way :-/

Mmh, I guess you'll have to do it the hard way.

I understand you want to create a sort of Myst-styled game bytheway?
