Well my mod idea is very cool, and is already in the process,

Well, what im doing is a continue from the original half-life game, If you remember correctly after beating the boss, you talk to the gman, which you are on the train, most of you decide to go into the portal and your hired--well, did you ever try not going into the portal... You end up in front of unfortunate hungry beast. Well I recreate parts from the game and put in a number of texts, you see it turns out that you did not accept the gmans offer, because you know right from wrong. So anyway your in front of a beast then with a trick of the camera you get bet up (it fades, and you here sound effects-[like in the original where as you get bet up by the human_grunts]) Then with another trick of the camera you see a monster_agrunt carrying you you pass out. When awaken your on a scientist table, This is where your play starts< you get up and in walks a scientist, only that the scientest is transformed with a headcrab on its head(I forget what they where called-sorry)
With out weapons you run, and run faster, untill you escape from the facility, and whereas you find an alien type weapon(Coding done) You soon get transported back to planet earth whereas you seek out your revenge on the gman.

So whats it sound like, I just about got the intro done, and it's looking sweet already-- The mod is going to be called

"Blind Justice"

So what do you guys think, I will need more ideas, so feel free to post ideas, or even your mod ideas.

not a really original story but it features new weapons. i hope new textures to?? and i asume you also have some out door maps?

Oh yes, absolutely. I was just thinking valve is making it follow the path of accepting the gmans offer--so Im doing the opposite. Kindof like the other mods but with a different aspect(like blueshift or apposing force)

There was already a "mod" with similiar to your storyline (Freemans Revange) but it was very weak, so you can try. It can be even a good idea if you add new weapons, textures and some cool ideas (like "town" made by zombies or something even more creazy). Yeah it can be a good mod... :D

Heh- I never thaought about a town--In which it leaked out that Gordon Freeman escaped the aliens labs, and now all the aliens abandoned the town, leaving a few enemies behind to pop out of nowhere--great idea--

are you looking for a mapper low experience? :) i can always support you with no complicated maps and IDEAS! I think i could learn something when helping you on your project... So what do you say? :cool: Ofcourse it's not a big problem if you say no :D I can always try to make something on my own (i'm making a mod now but it's going to take some time to complete it :P now you can play it ok 15 min and then... then is nothing :D )

But i think that i have a nice idea too. A thief in Black Mesa :D You want to take a flashing object and... BOOOM! You are teleported, soldiers are everywhere, fighting with barneys :nuts: ehh, need to think about it a while :

Well if you want that would be cool. Now one problem I dont have the internet up anymore at my house so the only computer I am using is the schools Now if we where to create this mod, I'd have to send you what I have so far- or what? How is this going to work? Do you want me to give you an outlineof each level, and we do level by level (you do the first me second, etc... If we were to do it that way I do think it would be the easiest.

Ok now I've mad a custom avi intro video, right know it only has my name on it (such as Mod Created By Mike Verret) Now do you want it to include Crusader_bin, or your real name like I have?

Ok well as seen above Gordon starts out in an alien labratory where he is being tested on, when he awakes there is no one around then the door opens and in struts alien scientist he/you then have to escape from this place, so I think our first thing to do is create this labratory, have human half alien, I thought it would be cool if it all looked the same, and was a maze, it would be complicated to get out of but thats the point-you don't know where you are, maybe even a small easy maze with windows you can't reach, whereas there is a small vent hidden behide an object,
I know a lot of people do there rooms as sqaure rectangular rooms, try to avoid this--Theres a good tutorial at snarkpit.com if you don't know what I mean, I had to read it, and know my places look five times better- deals with arcitexture matters... so yep,

They main plot made short is to get gordon of the planet, (maybe he has to find the teleporting machine)and then seek out the gman. And take his life.

A little bit of both which is not that hard just use dark textures for floors and walls and maybe pillars on the corners with Xen text. and such. Its up to you, you are the other designer. This will be your mod as much as it is mine, do you want me to use Crusader_bin, for the creaters dialog?

We will be making alien type levels, for the first part of this mod.

Something like the original half-life exept instead of starting on earth we end up starting on another planet and finish on earth.

When on earth we will also have the aliens hunting gordon down-after all he did escape there labs.

lol, well custom texture would be cool but may require more work, you can also download wad files off of the internet-just remember to put the creators of the textures in a readme file, for the credits at the end of the game.

Your maps won't look that bad, when I see them and edit them a bit and return them to you, you will say wow, I created the outline for that map--and look what its become--lol, you know what I mean- For the lab at which gordon wake up I was kindoff thinking the same type of lab as in the end of resident evil, where the girl wakes up in, its a fairly bright white room (we could add blood decales to increase the looks) With a window and a fairly big door..Not sure if you seen the movie--.. anyways yep There may be maps you make that will not need changing at all... Remember everyone has to start somewhere. You should have seen my first map, hahaha it was hilarious. So yep. For example me and coding, just a starter- I hardley know anything, I changed the huds looks and stuff-but thats easy if you know what I mean-you just edit the sprites OK um I also have a website

No, I'm not, Im not familiar with spirit at all, Is'nt it a Mod for half-life-
It would kindoff be stupid to use the spirit tools, because in order to play our maps they'd have to have Spirit installed. Which I don't like that idea at all, so if there is a way to use the spirits source code that people could still play it through half-Life then ok well give it a try.

You were to create a mod, right? Then you can just include the Spirit dlls within your mod folder hierarchy...

I suggest you do a bit of research on the possibilities of mod folders...

You don't have to be familiar with Spirit. You have to be familiar with how mod folders work. Just grab the Spirit dlls and put them in your mod folder. Look at other mods at where they put their dlls and how they referred to them in the liblist.gam. It's not that difficult to find ou.

/why don you change a story little. A alien rebell group saves you from death (after refuseing gman job offer), and you work with them to save Earth... a?

lol, so this is going to be my only post here, (I'll be back in another 3hours) , Well, diehard, I want more enemies then just the gman and Humangrunts, and assassins, If it turns out that the aliens save me and need my help to save the earth, then who will my enemies be? Plus having certain ones not attack me, and have them to work as a team to kill the others is a task in a half... These are bots we are talking about--

i think that it is possible to setup in spirit that some enemies will attack you, some not and some will become your friends ;) So that you can fight with barneys with the help of aliengrunts :nuts: i think that is possible in spirit to make
