Okay, now someone explain THIS one! in the VHE portion, I have three clips of 9mmAR ammo on the bottom shelf, and the 9mmAR rifle on the top... I save, good... I compile, GREAT! I run, and POOF (what you see on the RIGHT) Can anyone shed some light on this one?

Mhh... well, put those ammo_9mmAR's a bit higher?

On the other hand... do they touch the higher plank, the one where the weapon_9mmAR is lying on? Maybe that causes the problem...

The gun is somewhat laying in the upper shelf, but the ammo has been suspended from any of the brushes by at LEAST 1 unit..... I've tried suspending the weapon as well... I'm thinkin this ammo needs to be placed elsewhere, I found that shelf in a prefab pack from ejoop.com (had to retexture it though) and I liked it's design. There are others.

try what others have said move the ammo above the bottom shelf (BUT do not let it touch the top one. Try this i have downloaded the map but i cant compile/run it on my comp here it sucks.

I've completely suspended both the gun and clips from the respective shelves, and still the ammo poof that's okay - I'll use another shelf or relocate the ammo.

Hey, just a little check... aren't they place underneath the shelves? Just a thought...

I figured it out, but I'll be damned if I know why this happens. It seems as though the ammo cannot have a world brush intersecting it anywhere. If that happens, the ammo does not appear. The rifle doesn't have this problem. I was able to get the ammo to show up properly by selecting the cabinet and turning it into a func_wall. Although I had to leave the bottom shelf as a world brush otherwise the ammo kept falling through it. Just make sure the ammo is a little bit above the bottom shelf and it works if the rest of the cabinet is a func_wall.

In summary:

Weapons can stay on entity brushes
Ammo can't

Monsters can stay on ents too btw

The cart was originally all brushes Kol... it was never an ent.

but he was saying that at least one side must've been touching the ammo ent. and besides, hy are you using a 10 brush prefab when you had to retuxture it anyway? can't you make basic shapes in hammer? all you ever use is prefabs dude. you'd learn more if you tried making it yourself :/
