I'm trying to make a map with very realistic terrain, but whenever I try to compile it, I always get an error that says MAX_LEAF_FACES. How can I get that to not come up? :(

I got that error with full_city many times. This problem Im pretty sure is usually caused by:
-Too many open areas
-Massive areas with waaaay too many lights
-Excessive face spliting

I know but, pepper made a big outdoor one (in his tutorial, and now I'm practicing with the VM tool), and so did valve in HL. How come I can't? :

Maybe you have 3000 lights all over?

No, I only have 1 light_enviroment, and it's the default level of light.

3000 light FACES?

Nope, it's not the lights that are the problem. :|

Well if you over-do terrain it might give you this error...or if you have gigantic open terrain areas.

Yeah but, pepper's terrain tutorial map is bigger than mine, but it runs without error. :(

If your map file is not too big (under 500kb zipped), you can E-mail it to me and I can take a look at it.

NVM, I found out the problem. I accidentally had two of each block. :zonked:

That would be a problem.
