Ok, know how to trigger something after killing one monster, but I don't have the slightest clue on how to trigger something after killing multiple monsters? How do I do it?

have the monsters target a multisource which targets your whatever
Posted 20 years ago2004-09-11 11:43:16 UTC Post #58226
But wouldn't the multisource be activated after one monster?
Posted 20 years ago2004-09-11 11:51:45 UTC Post #58227
not usually, multisources are designed to trigger after all entities targetting it have been triggered.

There's an example map on using a game_counter to count monster kills.

not counter, multi_sorce!

Either one can be made to work. If you must kill all of them to get the trigger, either will work. If you only have to kill some of them and it doesn't matter which ones, you'd have to use a game_counter.

Agh! Which is it! Game_counter or multi_source!

Multisource should work in this situation.

It's just one word, multisource, not multi_source, by the way.

A gamecounter can activate something after it has been triggered a specified ammount of times. Could be used here too but a multisource is better as it makes sure all monsters that target it have to be killed in order to trigger it's target.

Gamecounters are fun when you use infinite respawning houndeye's... :P
