So I guess I'm the only one that chose a rather small place...

A place that leaves room for some nice details and entity trickery, that is... ;)

Progress looks good, and I think this will become a rather interesting challenge.

Compilling is hell at the moment. I've yet to do a full compile. I also need some decent textures plus entity work. Thanks for your comments people. :)

I believe I have chosen the lighthouse. There are no pictures of the inside of Battersea and thus it is pointless to map. The lighthouse on the otherhand probably has a basic inside.

This brings up the question, how is judging to be done? Will it be based on how accurately the map reflects the picture, or how well it is based off it. Because in mine, I'm feeling like doing the interior of the lighthouse and placing a rocky edge off to water on the side.

Bullsh*t! (lol) You can have about 1500 w_poly and 6000 e poly before it gets unplayable and laggy, on a half decent PC, I have GF2 and Athlon1800 and my PC sucks, yet I'll be able to run that fine.

So go nuts, no-one said it had to be a perfect example of balnced mapping, as we can choose whetehr we want to do it all through a camera, or the player.

You think his is bad.... wait till you see mine =/

Well, that's the trouble. Both Andy and I have sucky video cards. Afaik, Andy has a 16MB card, and I have an Nvidia Vanta 16MB.....

That Hammer shot is so good I thought I'd clicked on teh top one again#! ;)

Looks really good man, I'm impressed.

The texes are pretty much spot on, the white concrete is a bit too white, but I only say that cos the rest of it looks so perfect.

Can't wait for more.
