the one in half life is a func_tracktrain, its brother entity, func_train is similiar and works almost the same ways so you should find this tutorial satisfactory: http://twhl.co.za/tutorial.php?id=10
To make one with glass and doors youll need to make both of them seperate trains that run with the man body of the train, so it looks like the train has glass. The door is the samebut at the end give it one or 2 more paths to simulate a door opening.

its doesnt, but it you want glass youll have to make the glass a seperate train that runs with the main train, if you do it accurately itll look like the train has glass

actually the doors were seperate, thats why the maps loaded. The doors only appeared to move ;).

All you have to do for the glass is make it a train like the rest, give it all of the same stats (most important is name or else it wont move) and give it normal glass properties.

ex : func_train
name - train
first stop target - t1

then the glass

func_train
name - train
rendermode - texture
fx amount - anything
first stop target - t1.

or change on your preferences i guess.

the doors were seperate indeed, when i was talking about moving doors i was reffering to the ''doors move with elevator'' tutorial. Shouldnt have them both the same names. I tend to find that only one is triggered and the other isnt.
