Good news, i found a working exporter for G-max, so i can stick to G-max, only small modifications need to be made, now im thinking about reanimating the FAMEA to.

its in the toolpack, best would be to drop by at the verc forums and ask wolf about how to go around getting your model in half-life since he composed the toolpack. When i figured it out il drop a reply somewhere around here telling how to get it in-game.

Yeah i know, used 100 frames. But hey, i can define the speed of the animation in the .cq file so that wont be a problem. One made an error with the camera model, it did the whole animation in merly a second.

Was actualy Irony Rim, i find myself being rather rubbish in animating and im afraid im trying to make every possible misstake someone can make a thousand times:).

Hahaha, dont we love the internet :) .

G-max is actualy quite easy on you when animating, thus allowing to first animate the chamber sliding back and back to its locked position(wich should only happend when the magazine is empty and is reloaded, not whilst firing ;) ) and then the blowback on the gun.

Here's another animation showing us both guns firing, in this video i will first show you the gun from serval angles, then i show each important keyframe and how the gun behaves at that point and what has changed. Hope it makes sense to you guys, i also included the animation bar in this one. Again, 100 frames so dont expect the real firing speed yet :) .

If you guys like this then i'd happily show how i model a gun, for those of you interested offcourse.

is gmax free? it sounds like useful program. I'm trying to animate in milkshape and it is a nightmare.

Yeah rim, its free. Infact its 3dstudiomax without all the fancy exporters and rendering features. if you got max then use that because its way more effective.

just dump in some bones, a dummy and link em all in the right order.

In other news: I finally have a "playable" beta version of my map, which is the first map of the mod (Chapter One). Notice the quoted playable, because in fact, it isn't playable, its just a camera sequence.

hmm, i think right handed, for the sole reason that all the other weapons in HL are right handed. looks sexy from both angles :)

I know why it feels wrong, there is hardly any recoil :) . Atleast not as much compared to weapon 2.

Uhm, the unseen faces aren't cut, are they? The Mega-detailed weapon models for Turnstile got cut down to under 990 polys very easily this way.

FYI, Pepper: I can do the models myself so you don't need to worry about that if you haven't figured it out by now.

Everything is looking so good, HL:HS will own.

Ok, for all of you people who have been assured that we are nearing the end, you might want to slap us...

Several rather large problems have cropped up, the largest of them being that Unbreakable apparantly quit the team without even bothering to tell me. So while i've been happily working away at Gyradell Invasion, thinking that HS is going great, nothing has happened with Chapter 2.

I expect that i'll be making chapter 2..

Also, there are a few smaller problems running around the inner-works of this mod...

BUT NEVER FEAR! If I work myself to death, I WILL get this mod finished.

It just needs some time to get smoothed out.

Oh, and I know it wasn't your fault Unbreakable that you lost all the data, but for not bothering to tell me, you get a big :thefinger:

And im sure he can do some short loops for the rest of your areas. I accually have him doing two for my part because it has really developed into two parts.
