How do I use the .wavs from Half-Life to put into a map. I've always just made copies of the sounds and added them to a sounds folder but that takes up too much space. I want the sounds to work for others when they download also.

use HLmodel viewer to explore the PAK files.. all the game files (maps, models & sounds etc etc) are stored in the PAK files to save space and prevent clutter. Just open up PAK0 (i think its Pak0) in model viewer and find the filepath for the sound you are looking for. create an ambient_generic and put in the sound path.
