Nice! it reminded me of some UnrealTornament maps or DMC It is a bit too dark, and I noticed that apart from the torches and fountain, every single brush in the map has only 90? angles

+Well constructed and carefully textured +Nice layout -Your beds are causing face-splitting on the floor. To fix, lift them off the floor 1 unit or make them func_walls. -The house and hostie area are scantily decorated, they don't look real -outside, add a trafic light, or some sign or toll booth models.
Overall pretty solid job. There is also some face splitting @ the manhole cover, but I'm not sure why, considering it's a func_wall.

I made this map when I had all my HL editing stuff on my computer. I re-installed windows, but the map is still uploaded to the webspace, so I don't have a screen shot. Of course I tested it before I installed windows again. The competition has been closed for a looooong time.

Some notes on yours: I was quite impressed by this map. The brush work was quite nice, as well as the general atmosphere. The lighting was spot on, as well as that spooky choral music, which definatly accentuated the mood. The use of the G-Man (or G-Men) was good too. However, it did need something else to spice it up a little, as it came across as a little boring. Very nice job overall.

I've dnloaded it and my review: + Good layout, lots of multiple aproaches to the goal + Some places are really nicely made e.g the bathroom + Pretty low r_speeds on such big areas + Nice gameplay
- Some textures repeat too much - Hostages in the hotel are too hard to get out of their rooms - The manhole doesn't open from the street side - The TV doesn't work!!! - No fridge with TV snacks!!!

I don't have counter strike but from the screenshot I can see that you used only one texture and you used it well for it is still very intresting and nice a little bit less but still.

Really cool, ans I liked the help room, the voices, everything, until you get to the dance 'chamber.' I couldn't get it to work.
What text to speech engine did you use?
How did you do it? I've tried building stuff like that out of world brushes, and I always get that "max leaf faces" error.
