You're supposed to press the buttons to make Barney dance.
My little review: Interesting concept ChickenFist, but unfortunately it wasn't executed too smoothly. I like the way you've taken some of the lines from HL and re-recorded them with additions (the Barney at the start), as well as the general "HL" look. What let it down was the confusing aspect of the task at hand: getting Barney to "dance". You should've had some text come up on the screen giving the user some instructions on how to work it. I found that I couldn't get it to work well at all, and kept dying. The arrows moved too fast for me to press the buttons, and the buttons didn't seem to have an effect. Anywho, once again, interesting concept that was let down by some bugs. Keep on mapping!
I tried the mini sky brush 'round the rope, but no dice. I tried other things, but also no workie. For now, I just put a box around it that closely resembles the sky. Maybe fading it using texture/200's might make it blend better.

I just played it along with the compo ones Ok architecture was bland but thats ok because this is a fun map right
Now then, it was an interesting idea and those trap ideas must have fallen out of my head! There was a few things you really need to stop doing!
PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE STOP MAKING DOORS GO THROUGH THE WALLS AND MIX THE TEXTURES CAUSING SPLIT FACES!!!! PLEASE!
Also your 2nd or third trap (the one where the roof comes down and pushes you into spikes does not work properly because I was able to quickly run past it to a dead end!
The Black op people scared the crap outta me!
Final Verdict: A nice simple map yet it could be improved (not that you want to) and a nice 1 minute fun.
Why not put a sky brush, slightly thicker than the rope, around where it's gunna go (so on top of the guillotine)? The sky'll look normal, 'cos it's drawn by dark magic.
This must be one of the most original Example Maps, I must say.

Great map that is well construckted throughout, especially the boardroom imo. Full of nice prefabs and nice effects--vent fan, metal detector.
But, like your shipping map, there are many doors that don't go anywhere and too many in genearal imo. Remember this is a CS map, not real life. The first 3 floors are too repetative, and though in real life this is exactly how real builing layouts are constructed, again, this is a CS map.
To sum up, a beautifully constructed map, but way to 'busy' for a good Counter-strike map.

Is it CS:S? It looks like the original CS (sky, building) but the top looks like CS:S (I'm pretty sure in CS:S, the top was farther from the right edge of the screen).

When you walk in walk in the windy room, you can see the seperate brushes of the of the windy conveyor matrix. Sorry if that isn't any clearer, but I don't know how else to say it.
Puting a brush--tied to func_illusionary turned pepindicular to the convyeors and wide enough for the entire room, may hide the gridwork.
It's really a minor thing, just thought it might improve it a little.
Buhbye!
Great example!
But I don't got HL1 instaled.. So I can't test it. Sorry

Ty for comments!
OOH.
Atleast I think a DDR clone has never been done in HL before.
Strange map indeed!
It wasn't very special and I didn't understand what to do!
Nice try though!

+Cool trench layout
+Cool breakables (bunker after explosion)
+And of course, nice mines!

+Nice prefabs!
+Lighiting in general
-Too mandy doors that go no where
-Ladders in shipping bay you cannon climb
Nice map, but not for cs in my opinion. I would advise modifying to be better suited for cs, or make it a DM map.
Nice Job overall!
Anyways, great example map. It can also show how to make terrain. =)
but great work u got there
Great job Rimrook, you seem to have a great future in this industy ahead of you
