Plagiarism?
I'll have to do some research on it (because I don't even know what it is xD), then try to remove plagiarised content from my journal :/

Edit:
"Plagiarism is the act of taking another person's writing, conversation, song, or even idea and passing it off as your own."

I don't see any plagiarism in my journal, unless you were implying that your own post, @Ghost129er, contains plagiarism :)

And, @everyone_who_has_congratulated/will_congratulate:

Thank you :D

It is a bit bland... Not in a bad way, it's gloomy. Is it something you aimed for? Nice work on the textures, everything is really clean although the textures themselves need a bit more grit and life. Like a few other maps of yours I have seen, this one is quite linear, I mean there are few branches, which is unusual for a DM map. Is it also something you aimed for? I played it only for a bit so can't say if it's bad but I think it makes it really hard for noobs, especially when they respawn and have nowhere to hide since it's so linear... And it's also a bit repetitive visually, making it hard to navigate, if the lighting wasn't so bland it would be a bit easier. Anyway good work and thanks for reminding me of Doom 3 :P

There is a new version of XDM available. Very cool! I think I am going to make some maps for this mod. It looks like there is a ton of cool things that can be done with the new entities. I just don't understand all of the new options available for entities... specifically multi-managers. Wish there was some instructions regarding the new entities and the additional options to existing/updated ones.

Spain sucks in terms of communications. Highways are more than 20 years old with few staff to take care of them, there are only a few airports, trains are almost abbandoned so it is impossible to use them as a practic way of displacement between great cities unless you take the "cercanías" in Madrid which works pretty well, but only for the city of madrid (it is a state-city in fact). The AVE is expensive too. Spain is only worth for holidays and for its culture, the government is oversized, look, there are 400000 politics for 40 million people, it is a proportion of 1 politic for each 10 people, that´s crazy and very expensive, even a simple counselor earns 10 times the money of a qualified worker, and most of the times this counselor is a direct-elected person who has not even studies, only his-her belonging to the party.

I got the ticket!

I will be inside the convention center for the first time. I've been five times in the past, but never inside because I didn't have a pass.

Scott can't attend the convention, because there is an age restriction--no one under 17 is allowed. Perhaps it's because the convention will feature "M" rated games.

But you're right, Scott is turning ten this summer. Time flies!

A 120 GB SSD performs better than a 1 TB HDD, sure.
But I'm not looking for speed, because the 1TB HDD is already fast enough for my needs, and it has lots of space. The SSD is more than fast enough for my needs, but contradictory, it has much less space.

When Half-Life 3 comes out, I'll buy myself the following hardware:
  • An SSD
  • A GTX 1070
  • An Intel Core i7 processor
  • And a 2TB HDD.
So, when will it happen? Either in the far future, or never.

Urgent edit:
My laptop's HDD is a 120GB HDD.
Right now I have 6GB of free space on it.

And THAT is why I don't want a stupid 120 GB SSD. I would run out of space!

Your RAM's speed DDR4-2400 doesn't match the one of the motherboard (DDR4-2133), you should use RAM that matches the speed of your motherboard (the RAM won't work or you will get serious speed loss).
Hmm, looks like I'll have to find even more shops just to find a DDR4-2400 mobo, or DDR4-2133 RAM. Damn, I live with such harsh limitations. Maybe I'll find that eventually, or maybe I'll even order parts from other countries (if my father allows that). Interesting...
install windows xp and stop watching porn, then it will be fast as hell
I'm 14, I don't watch porn, eww. Besides, I have a girlfriend, why is there a need for porn? XD
I'd love to install XP on it, but then I'd lose some of my needed compatibility.
I made a mistake and I don't want that it happens to you with your future PC. Every time I start my computer and I open the task bar right away, Windows 10 always report a 100% disk usage.
Mistakes are made, what else can I tell you?
I'll still buy a HDD. Wait a minute. I don't even "play" games. I only test my maps on them and that's all I really do :P
[...] replacing a boot spindle drive with an SSD is probably the best value for money.
When a 500GB SSD costs $40 or less I will buy it. Period.

Yeah, if you're looking for a speed boost for any computer, replacing a boot spindle drive with an SSD is probably the best value for money.

Admer, please read the following, I made a mistake and I don't want that it happens to you with your future PC.

In multiple TWHL journals, I spoke about replacing my dead desktop computer. And I did it in July/August 2016 (I never had the time to write part 3 of the journal). Here are the specs of it:

Intel Core i7 6700k 4,0 Ghz
4 x 4 (16) Gb of DDR4
Gigabyte Gaming G1 GeForce GTX 1080
Western Digital Red 1 Tb HDD
Windows 10 Pro x64

It's an amazing build you could say that, I can play a lot of games and I'll last a lot of years before I'll be forced to change. However, there is one problem: "disk I/O usage".

Every time I start my computer and I open the task bar right away, Windows 10 always report a 100% disk usage. In other words, when it comes to install Steam (software/games) updates, start multiple applications at the same time or start a single light application (like Opera) or huge application (Unreal Engine 4), my HDD can't keep up just because it's a mechanical HDD. I have considered buying a SSD but I'm patient man (I can still endure the 4/5 minutes loading time in Unreal Engine 4), maybe I'll buy one once a get a salary and during sales.

Morale of the story: SSDs can make a huge difference, even in fast PCs.

WARNING ABOUT YOUR BUILD : Your RAM's speed DDR4-2400 doesn't match the one of the motherboard (DDR4-2133), you should use RAM that matches the speed of your motherboard (the RAM won't work or you will get serious speed loss).

Windows 10 sounds good to me, but mostly in a VM :)

What a lot of you didn't understand is, I'm not complaining how slow my laptop is, and I won't do anything about it (e.g. upgrading).

I'm totally fine with 5-25fps in every game on low, because I don't even play those games for playing. I play them only to test my maps :P
In fact, my eyes are used to seeing low framerates every day. When I rarely see a 60fps video, my brain gets a pleasant, tickling feeling, though :3

And, what's the point of upgrading my laptop now, when I can save money for my dream PC?

Edit:
Why I'm not getting an SSD --> according to next.ba a 120GB SSD is around 140BAM (70€). For 150BAM (75€) I can buy a 1TB HDD. That's why I'm not going to get an SSD until year 2020.
Commented 7 years ago2017-02-09 18:58:42 UTC in journal: #8775 Comment #68096
Windows 10 was designed to run smoothly on low-end hardware, including tablets. It has it's quirks, but given how easy they are to fix, I would upgrade to 10 (even if only to see if there's a noticable difference).

Use Windows 8/8.1 or disable Aero
NEVER!!! This community has such a big lack of empathy towards me, man...
Defragment your C:/ partition
I defrag every 3 months. Well, I've never defragged except in December. Really, it was my first time defragging. I'll defrag in February soon.
Save 10% of whatever you earn
Customs and habits are quite different in my country. I don't earn money. Although, that doesn't mean that I don't have 140BAM (70€) in my wallet >:D
Be sure to have as little services [...]
I only keep my needed programs in the background, they include:
  • Steam
  • Discord
  • Skype
  • Viber (though I often terminate it in Task Manager)
Now, there are also services from svchost.exe
I actually saw that it was once using 50% of my system resources, and it turns out that it was Windows Update. I disabled it immediately (pirated copy of Windows 7).
Commented 7 years ago2017-02-09 10:03:25 UTC in journal: #8775 Comment #68091
-I recommend using Foobar instead of Windows's media player. It's much friendlier with older hardware.
-Use Windows 8.1 or 10, or disable aero if you really like Windows 7.
-defragment your C:\ partition once a month
-be sure to have as little services as possible in the background, this is an old machine and if you want performance when working on tasks you must focus the machine's power only on those tasks.
-check your startup, be sure to eliminate stuff that's not really necessary( for example stuff like dropbox, if you use)

Save 10% of whatever you earn(pocket money or whatever you have right now). You'll thank yourself later. But abide by that rule( you can set an arbitrary percent but be reasonable, don't set it 50% because that's not realistic). This works, trust me. It's how I bought my Nikon when I was still in school( it took a year but hey...).
Once you finish high-school and then go to college your financial situation will improve, but educate yourself financially a little bit. I've also seen colleagues that earned more money and their financial situation didn't get better.
