i disagree rufee, cs:go is my new favourite game! (i hope i don't get sick of it, and have a long, healthy relationship like i did with 1.6)
Striker: ingest cannabis and you will will become god of fps, it makes you focus in like a cruise missile, and have a lot of fun while you are owning people
I'm still a below-average csgo player, but i was able to improve quickly and in tf2, where i usually get top 3 in whatever server i'm on after a few rounds.
hopefully i can improve fast in csgo, but for now i'm absolute gash..

Ok i played through this very quickly. this feels very much like one of your earlier maps, because the scale is squished weirdly in many places, and many new mappers do this, amirite?
Agreed with dimbark the lighting is really plain, but other than that i feel like this is really solid, good work.
alos if you edit this ever, increase the back clipping plane, cuze rock terrain drops out if you are on the edge of the map.

plenty of places do tutorials, and vdc seems the best site for all things source, so i think it's kinda a waste of time to invest too much efforts into tutorials, but meh maybe i'm wrong.

I agree with above, but i feel this is a really nice remake of the the original, with tons of exploration.
I love the little details here and stuff like light fixtures, the rebar coming out of the broken concrete, window trims and the ruptured pipe are all well done, except some of these detail items are proportioned a little strangely, e.g., the window panes are too fat, or the stairway railing is too "tall" on the z axis(up and down), and the y axis is way too skinny.
These are not big deals, especially if this map is more focused on gameplay, but each of these instances is a visual distraction nonetheless.
also, did you do redo the big open underground part? I couldn't find it on my quick run-through, and i feel it was the strongest/coolest part of the original map.
Anyhoo nice work sir, hope to see more from you, i feel this has a lot of potential! =)

I never actually liked the show when it was on, but now it's one of my favs
The character Locke traveled to the outback to go on a "Walk-a-bout". Actually a lot of the characters are from Australia, because Oceanic flight 815 was flying from sydney when it...SPOILERS ALERT

yep, these happen to everybody i can assure you. Basically the only thing you can do keep your chin up and be ready for that good luck streak, so you can take full advantage
I personally find days that start out really horrible very often end up awesome fsr, like some universal constant or something =P

happy birthday herr stojkens!!
Also, Sweet hardware man, and congrats on the your degree acceptance
"Also, I've noticed I've got a flaw i need to fix/overcome. I seem to imagine something amazing and than have no need what so ever to make it and realize it (Mapping/Projects). Gonna have to work on that. Also I've started a big project in source that i can not complete, again I'm shooting for the stars again >_< "
I'm trying to remember the program we had in our math lab at school, but i'm not remembering since i only went there to visit my girlfriend at the time( who was studying to be a maths teacher)

LOL, You shouldn't have any trouble at immigration
NYC is pretty cool. I would very much recommend hitting times sqaure and see a show if you're into that. (Very much like picadilly circus if you've been to london, just bigger)
There are some cool clubs/lounges in the east village to check out and lots of great shopping opportunities, but i would caution not to buy any souvenirs until you've been around a little to get the best prices.
Other than that, i personally find ny pretty boring.
Now Florida on the other hand there are many cool things to do in orlando if you're gonna be around there. Research around to find the things that will suit your tastes best, so you can maximize your fun time.
I would say it's a no-brainer to go to disney while you're there, but idk; if it's going to be really hot and really busy there, you might consider avoiding it this trip, rather than spending your whole time sweating balls and waiting in long lines (rim may be the guy to ask about this since he lives close to orlando i think).

The T-800 is capable of running internal systems checks; calculating the distance of objects relative to itself; making detailed kinetic studies of trajectories; sampling and analyzing the atmosphere, weather patterns and wind velocity; analyzing human emotional states (in order to assess possible hostility); analyzing body language and direction of muscle contraction; calculating the force of gravity; analyzing texture and temperature of materials; and sensing radar scans. It is fitted with an internal chronometer.
The T-800 is a "learning computer", but does not experience emotion. It does not feel pain or sadness, remorse or joy, trepidation nor regret, and it wiil never stop until it's objective is completed; it will "die" to fufill it's purpose.

It could be that:
1. the sound is not formatted correctly for hl(8-bit mono wavs) 2. logic flaw in how you're trying to trigger and the ambient_generic. 3. path to the wav may be wrong, or entity names that don't match. 4. make sure the sound is set to loop, i.e., has at least one cue point in in.
pm me with a link to the rmf and the wavs, and i'll troubleshoot it if you like.

Yeah blitz agrees, my monitor(LED FHD) is bright all the time, even with a black screen and the brightness all the way down. (stark contrast to my lcd laptop screen where black is so dark it's reflecteve like glass)
It's hard for me to choose between the two because i like aspects of both, but if i had to choose one i'd take LED, just because i feel like it's less taxing on the eyes than a darker screen.
Oh, and NOW i understand what you mean by "mechanical" keyboard, just basically like the old-style original keyboards back in the day. YES, now that you mention it i very much miss the clickity-clack and light touch to them, i may just have to check out some comtemporary mechanical keyboards

Blitz when you're talking about monitors, what is the best way to go in your opinion for cost/quality? (i only picked up the acer on impulse, so i did no shopping around AT ALL. That said it's definitely the best monitor i've ever owned, since my eyes are used to my dull, old laptop screen
The keyboard is the logitech k800. I like it a lot, but i would love a chiclet-style keyboard with illuminated keys, as i think you would get less light spillage from the borders of the keys(in full darkness you get a kinda trippy vertigo/halo effect).
Are you considering an upgrade to a mechanical in the future?
What you mean when you say dis? i can haz intrigued

Looks great sir, especially for goldsource, though the theme is quite generic--is there even a theme? Also, great work for 7 hours(i can't even wipe my own butt in 7 hours) =P
This compo is taking way longer than it thought since i'm building mine from scratch and have no painting skills

I'll get this reviewed soon as i can. (i'd view the comparison pics right now, but my interenets will get angry loading all those pics)
From the pics i've already seen, i already know i'm giving this full marks, so 5 stars from me.

3 stars, easily 4 or 5 with a little more work
edit
I was able to open it using WinRar
community sp mod tho, i'm so in
