I'm simply impressed at your fluency in English, that's bloody incredible. I certainly wasn't that good at your age!
It all seems to depend on the card; if you can't do international purchases you are up shit creek I'm afraid. Can you enquire with your bank if you are able to?

@JeffMod
Edinburgh uses blackboard Learn as well, it's a bloody useful system but unfortunately depends on how well the course organisers can use learn. Some will have loads of content in loads of places, others will literally consist of a home page with a single lecture notes pdf on it.
The computer science side uses Piazza quite a bit but I've never gone onto that side.
Like to try new things but dont't understand for a second how ANYONE could consider facebook a good data management system

Bear in mind HL2 had a fucking revolutionary physics engine for it's time so valve really wanted to gimmick the fuck out of it. Can't blame them to be fair for wanting to show it off!

It's not their perception of me 2much, it's my view that I'm going to be a year behind everyone else. I don't really care what others think of me, but I certainly care if all of my mates are going to be doing something completely different to me; almost as if they're going to be in their own world and that I'd be excluded.
I'm not going to fail this time round, I don't want to drop out by any definition, but I just hate the prospect of being behind everyone

If you save a tiny bit more I'd honestly really reccomend the Umi IRON. Thing came out a month ago from a chinese manufacturer, so far the phone has been nothing but exceptional. Specs aren't the best specs ever, but for the price I got it they're absolutely phenomenal.
Chinese phones can be dodgy, but Umi are trying to really break the mould with this and with various teardowns people have done, the phone is true to its specs. I got it for £110 on an early bird, so no idea what this is USD or otherwise

Update:
Fringe is over, and so is the show. The venue had a brand new desk, an ETC Ion desk. Great fun!
The show went fantastically well, we got 2 5 star reviews, a four and some cuntbag gave us a 3. Sold out every single night. That one was a particularly shit review that said we were bad for "being too sensible". Whatever the fuck that means. One of the 5 stars came from a reviewer known as "Two star tom", because he's incredibly critical, and barely gives out good reviews, so naturally we all got inebriated in celebration ( and I have a very low quality video of the director promising everyone a drink for the review.. that never materialised )
Overall, fringe was absolutely fantastic. Some of you guys need to come over!

PB brings up a very good point that most of the "aggresive" Win 10 tactics purpose is to get people off of OSs that are slowly becoming more and more unsupported. Look how many businesses still use XP, and that's outdated by anyone's standard. If almost everyone is on 10; that provides an incentive for those companies to also move to a more modern system. I don't even want to think of how many exploits and virii that has been developed specifically for Win XP; it's not exactly safe either.
And all this BS about cortana spying on everything you do- the data that microsoft sends is the exact same that they've been sending in previous versions of windows, and it's VERY easy to turn off. Learn to stop worrying and love the Win10

Tech run went on till 4:30, great fun. Show's looking really good, the venue has about 9 clay paky movers ( 3 alpha spots, 6 alpha profiles ) and they're getting completely abused. I didn't actually manage to get round to doing any programming as the venue had only recently installed an ETC Ion desk and were cautious of anyone accidentally fucking the entire desk and everyone's showfiles, so the LD had to communicate to the programmer via headmics. Was interesting to hear the guy reel off commands off the top of his head.
149 cues, absolute shitload, few more got added in and I accidentally missed one entirely so I'll have to keep an eye open tonight and make sure I don't miss anything

I'm literally just the lighting op for the show, so I'm programming the cues and on the day, going cue by cue as the show goes on. EUSOG, (Edinburgh University Savoy Opera Group, but they're now a semi-generic musical theatre society ) are putting on Little Shop of Horrors for the Edinburgh fringe for a fortnight, was at the dress run two days ago and It's looking and sounding absolutely amazing.
Most shows have one primary Lighting designer and potentially multiple ops, essentially the line of heirarchy is:
Director & LD meet, go through the script and discuss the lighting at various points in the script and when exactly said changes will happen. Depending on the venue, the LD will either be working with the venue's own lights or will deal with designing & placement of dry hired fixtures. Once that's all done, the LD & OP go through the script and try and get as much physically on the desk as possible before a tech run. The tech run is the bane of everyone's life, usually going through till about 3 / 4 AM. The show is performed cue by cue so the sound / lighting can perfect everything for the final shows.

I'm glad, it's a stepping stone for the LGBT community to slowly not even be recognised at such. There's still plenty of social issues and stigma towards them that hopefully is going to disappear some day, and I'm glad that america anyway have started to help them get there.
I can't help but laugh at the incredibly huge outcry of morons on twitter though, "I hate this country, what about our consitution, I'm moving to canada".. despite canada having legalised same sex marriage for over 10 years. Honestly can't understand how backwards some people can be...

Don't know if it's the script of the actors but there's something about the acting that's really.. stiff. It feels like they're performing on stage rather than on the screen.
Humor isn't really up my street ( agree with jessie on the "you shot my phone you dick" was quite funny ), really good anyway for a small team.
Visual stuff was really, really good. The only reason I knew that the scene with the guy from limmy's show was CGI was the pre-prod shot of the greenscreen behind him. Those matrix-slowdown bits were really well done!

I was going to head along the way of JavaFX, not touching swing. Considering java is quite good when used in a correct sense ( and since this thing would only be running standalone with no connection to the internet, malware / security flaws would be a nonissue ). I've started toying about with sql things ( currently trying sqlite, but the JCDB stuff works for JRE 1.7... and the current, security issue-free 1.8 is not supported. Fuck. ) What would you recommend other than Java?

"There really isn't an argument to cause, mate. The no camp messed up and we're gonna pay heavily for it. Consider that the majority no vote was people aged 65+ who are only aware of what the shocking biased media campaign was telling them and some 40,000 neo-nazi thugs and you'll perhaps understand who you sided with.
Wow. I strongly dislike that direct colleration that you have explicitly stated. I'd like you to please explain how we are going to "pay" for voting no. And by we, I mean the majority of people - the DEMOCRATIC VOTE. Because a bunch of football hooligans riled up for a fight like they bloody do anyway ( see : london riots) and besides, it wasn't anywhere near 40,000 people, has got literally nothing to do with this.
"The Orange Order riots in Glasgow are only further proof of how flawed the Better Together mindset is. These people won and they're celebrating by inciting violence, intimidation and property damage to anyone they suspect doesn't support Rangers. Ah yes, all the no supporters are mindless idiots wanting to cause violence. I'm a no supporter and it's fairly obvious the Orange Order are mentalist extremists and I do not remotely condone their actions - and i'm pretty sure next to nobody will have a differing opinion to me on that. You can't say that a Yes win would not cause a riot either.
"That vote was about starting a revolution in political thinking for ordinary people in Britain. Empowerment! A meaningful vote that really brings change. The 'NO' voters have just emulated turkeys voting for christmas. Same old bollocks, same old vested interests, same old cynicism." That's exactly what it's done. It has been the catalyst for a new explosion into politics. People didn't care beforehand but now that they thought every vote mattered, they've put time and effort into researching the subject at hand. And these are people as young as 16 years old. It has had a positive effect, you can't deny that whatsoever. And I'm going to take personal offence to that, voting no was not a knee-jerk reaction. I looked into the facts and figures, I watched the debates, I looked at the media, and I made my own educated opinion that now is not the right time for independence and there were too many factors still left unknown that -when making such a drastic change -should have been set in stone months before rather than this "just trust us we can do it afterwards" attitude. There were completely valid and drastic issues that would have rocked an independent scotland - just because you do not agree with them does not mean they are "scaremongering" - they are valid points nonetheless.
"It's going to be interesting to see how Westminster tries to untangle the shambles they've got themselves into." What shambles? They've promised and they will deliver. They'll be complete and utter morons if they go back on their promises. We're expecting details within the week.
"Don't buy into the Stockholm Syndrome, Oli. Majority of Westminster MPs are blocking further powers being awarded to Scotland.. "
I'm not being affected by Stockholm Syndrome whatsoever. Trying to relate this to a hostage situation is completely idiotic. We are not being held captive by Westminster by any definition whatsoever. We have our own parliament, we get a shit-tonne of money from Westminster as it is. There aren't even that many issues that independence would grant to us. Finance control I agree with, but again, Cameron has pledged that he will make changes. MPs are not blocking further powers being awarded to Scotland, that was completely taken out of context, that was actually in regards to English MPs wanting more power if "scotland can get it too". The opposition was to more powers for the English parliament.
Continuing to mention the Orange Order is indentical to mentioning the BNP. Completely irrelevant ,not remotely representative and generally not even an issue.
The vote is over. Changes are going to be happening. All that some people are doing now is continuing to pursue their own - in my personal view hatred breeding - agendas, rather than deciding "well, it was a no vote, I'm upset, but we might as well start to work together to get this country what it deserves".

I really, really don't want to cause an argument arch but seriously we have considerably more power than a lot of people are trying to make it out that we have. We have our own bloody parliament for gods sake! The major issues that were brought up supporting the argument for independence were literally around finances, and that's about it. There was no scaremongering in the campaign, it was pointing out genuine issues and flaws that would arise given the case we became independent. Just because it doesn't float your boat doesn't mean it isn't a valid argument. I do agree there are some positives to becoming independent but weighing the risks with the rewards, it's not remotely worth it. We are represented in Westminster, if it wasn't for us we wouldn't have had a labour government from '97 to 2010. This whole UKIP thing is complete nonsense, there is no way in hell they are getting into power. Reminds of that whole BNP scare a few years ago.. nothing really came out of that, did it?

I have a completely different viewpoint to Archie regarding the whole matter which literally symbolizes the Scottish divide considering we're the only two Scottish TWHL members. Even though it was a No vote that passed, the amount of fire that's been started by all this campaigning will mean that there will be changes happening for definite. It won't go unnoticed by anyone whatsoever.
I'm glad almost everyone has been civil after the vote was released though. There's been a few douchebags from both sides, sore Yes losers and arrogant and patronising No voters - but on the whole, nobody has been bombed so it's been fairly good so far. We're looking at you, Ireland.

The only things I can apply to that first question is that- Dot product represents projection of one vector onto another That being u.v = |u||v|cos theta As u is a unit vector, |u| = 1. Dot product represents projection of one vector onto another
That being u.v = |u||v|cos theta
As u is a unit vector, |u| = 1.
The angle between uv & uw is the same, and as v has the same magnitude as w,
U.v = u.w
Therefore u.v + u.w = 2 (u.v)
U (v +w) = 2 (u.v)
And thats pretty much all I did for the first one.
If you could divide by u and take v onto the other side, itd work out, but ive No idea why 2 (u.v) is multiplied by u...
