It's better than most stuff I see on gamebanana...

I'm enjoying seeing this evolve over time. I think you'll get better feedback in the Work in Progress thread, though. People don't tend to check out maps in the unfinished stuff vault.

I'm subscribed to Nvidia on Facebook and they randomly post pics to show off. I imagine it was some gameshow.

Wow, a real blast from the past.

I made this map before I was married.

I think I had seen this map a few times but had never played it, so I did today.
I liked it, although that first grunt was a bit tricky.
I'm not much of a reviewer so I will leave it at that.

Considering it was uploaded on the 22nd of October, 2004, it probably is.

Posted this video to reddit.com/r/asmr:

If you get this sub-reddit / what asmr is, you'll understand. Otherwise I'll probably look crazy.
Fuck it.

Not surprising! I've got a 560ti and any Source game pushed max doesn't even faze it. Average about 100 fps on any source game as high as it will go. I even force ambient occlusion soft shadows through the control panel. I guess the engine is beginning to show it's age.

I don't know if you like multiplayer games at all but I'd highly suggest Battlefield 3. A new expansion is about to launch :) If not I highly suggest Max Payne 3 as a single player experience. Your card should smoke it. It's a game for after your son goes to bed, no question at all.

Gratz on the card that looks really nice.
Commented 12 years ago2012-09-06 19:36:20 UTC in journal: #7962 Comment #48270
I don't have any game that can push this card to the limit.

All I have installed now are Half-Life 2, Portal 2, and Dear Esther.

I did increase the graphics setting for these games to the maximum, and the 680 acts as if nothing happened. I also noticed that when I quit a game, I was back at the Windows desktop before I could blink.

It's also incredibly quiet.

It would be especially neat if such a feature was updated regularly.
Checking it out.

@ATDestroy: Generally, surprises are considered such because there is no evidence to support them.

But yeah I don't think that would happen.

All I need is a charger and a copy of Windows to get my laptop working again so I can play it. I've got enough money in the bank for that. It's not like I need it for anything important like food, right?
Right?

I leave for three days, and this happens.
Also, I think I'm calling BS on Xen not being in. I think (and hope) that it will be a surprise inclusion in the release.

@Striker: Interesting app. I especially like this part:

Ninite automatically says "No" to toolbars and other junk.

Which reminded me that I installed Yahoo Messenger and despite deselecting the "Yahoo browser toolbar" (or whatever) I found it on Firefox right after installation was done. Had to manually deactivate and uninstall it. I hate that shit.

As for thunderbird, yes it can manage as many email accounts as you want. Each one with their own inbox and folders and sorting rules, and it has an optional popup notification on new mail.

Well, since you're actually writing about feeling anxious, I can feel you. It's always the waiting that punishes us, once you're in the job, I bet you'll feel ok.

Good luck! Perhaps share your experience with us?
