I tried to play this but I somehow borked my cstrike. The lighting from the screen looks fantastic, not something I expected after looking at your other incomplete map. Well done.

I don't even remember what I was thinking. It did really hurt. I was trying to walk the next morning and it just wasn't working out. I had to crawl everywhere. Haha

Fuck...
I can honestly say that I cannot imagine how much that must have hurt.
I personally have never broken a single bone in my body. I guess it's one of the perks of being, as Archie would say, the most bland man on the planet.
I wish you a speedy recovery (That would be nine months, rather than twelve)

I'm sorry but that's hilarious. I am sorry for you though. My sympathies.
On the bright side, now that you're lying around in the couch all day you've got an excellent opportunity to watch all of those series and shows which you've never found the time to watch before. Almost makes me wish I broke my foot. (On the other hand, nah..)

Yay I still have to write you to arrange the details! I keep forgetting. I have to as soon as I'm able to get back to Thunderbird on Windows where all my email is.

Great tutorial and you used a lot of good techniques there. It would have been ideal if you had posted this at the start of the comp to demo what you were looking for. However you misspoke in the video when you said we were to design textures specifically for brushes. If you look at the thread again you wrote " for a specific purpose" which does not go far enough to explain that you wanted textures that were shaped to the brush geometry.
I think your technique is excellent but time consuming. I don't think any of us were willing to take it to the level for something that was not part of a bigger project that would justify that amount of polish and detail.

Yup. Archie and I are constantly mentioning cgtextures. You will not find a better source of textures anywhere. Google is ok, but you never know where those images are coming from or what copyright laws are protecting them. CGTextures is totally and utterly FREE!
Hell, they even tile some of the images themselves to save you the trouble.
"CGTextures offers photographs of materials ("Textures") on its website (www.cgtextures.com) for game developers, special effects artists, graphic designers and other professions. No payment or royalties are required to use these Textures."
Was it one of those sandpapery-concrete pools?
Sorry to hear man.
Kinda reminds me of this one time when i tried to jump over a bush...
I'll be able to walk come late september
We'll form two teams:
Team Arch
&
Team Ie
We'll start our search in Wales. Good luck guys.
Dumbass.
I hope you still want to go for a drink...

Uh, from my understanding, generally none. Urine is typically sterile.
You are like these guys xD http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SxeHrCyx-Eg
...also, make sure to not swim in pool at least 2 hours after 1st graders have used it!
Hope you'll feel alright man. Wish you a speedy recovery... if possible.
I then decide its a great idea to jump off the roof while nobody is looking so I can run back inside and surprise them all.
"I can see where this is going..."
I lept.
"Bad idea, I'm guessing?"
I stuck the landing.
"Oh, alright."
Onto pavement.
Barefoot.
2 bilateral fractures of my calcanei.
"Oooohhhh... ow."
My sympathy to you, sir. Also, apparently I completely missed the first line of the journal. :
My advice would be wait until you get a pc workstation to continue mapping. there is no reason to suffer trying to make it work on a linux box imo.

I was only out of work for 2 days.
Thank god I have a desk job.
And madcow is right. It's hilarious.

ow.
The roof texture is the same as the walls, pretty slack.
The map also appears full bright yet I can see some red and blue lights, what's up with that?

This is a sure source of textures.
