Great job! The architecture was awesome. The corridors were excellent. Nice texture choices but some of them seems overused to me However the thing I was expecting while opening the map was some animated textures, sprites, entities giving the best sci-fi effect... couldnt find any. Also there werent any sounds. I really cant say much about the gameplay but I really dont expect much good gameplay from small maps.

You could just use XSI mod tool, but that thing is giving me problems texturing stuff. Besides, HL1 doesnt use models other than people, weapons, monsters, items, and ammo.

There's some kind of recent infactuation with concept art here at twhl. If it all turns out as good as this though, we're in good shape.
As usual, there is always room for improvement. Might I reccomend though, work in absolutely huge sizes and reduce the size later. You're blotchy style looks good at distance (the small thumbnail on the journal page), but we get to see faults up close. So long as you dont give us a large version to look at, you appear a lot more awesome than you really are.

Yeah UT2003 and 2004 rocks. I'm glad you actually like the redeemer... my friend hates cause I just happen to always pick it up (console > LOADED). Bleach... I kind of stopped watching recently so I'm just going to ask my friend from now on. Currently episode 166 is out or coming out. Btw if you need to ask about Bleach and stuff just PM me rather than here from now on.

An actual LIVE shutbux? Just what I've always wanted.
Im presonally not sure about HL related news tho. I mean, it COULD bring up good discussions, but keep in mind that there already are loads of HL related news sites out there such as planet half-life or HL2fallout.

Architecture: 10/10 (I like that Unreal style) Textures: 8/10 (Not perfect but acceptable) Lights: 8/10 (Pretty good) Sound: 0/10 (But hey it's deathmatch map) Playability: I haven't played it against someone but it looks a bit small.
Overall: 5 stars (I'm not good in math like hlife_hotdog)

HL2 SMD Plugins for Maya 4-8
As far as actually modelling goes, i think you're on your own but not without thousands of Maya tutorials across the internet. Google is your friend.
