My policy is that there's no harm in just trying things. I happily have the mental willpower not to be seduced by the social aspects of drugs, and avoided peer pressure to start smoking in my high school days as well.

I like alcohol because if drunk in reasonable moderation you can just have a fucking good, chilled time and lets not forget that you become significantly braver. It might not be a good thing to say, but I doubt I'd have hooked up with even half of the women I've dated were it not for a wee nerve-calming dram of Whyte & Mackay's.

Grass, I've tried several times. 3 of those times I felt really ill afterwards. Worse than any hangover I've ever had. The high wasn't worth it. You can get a similar buzz from booze.

I just am unable to have a good high off anything more serious. I know i shouldn't so I always get paranoid and have a shit high.

i don't have a problem with people who have handlebar moustaches... but don't try and talk to me as if you DON'T have a handlebar moustache. Trying to talk about regular shit... No. If you have a handlebar moustache, that has to be the focus of the conversation.

Tried shrooms once. Had the same problem I had with grass, which was all I could think while high was that it was fucking overrated, and I wanted a scotch

Lest I live in fear that Tito never grasped my dripping sarcasm, I wish to point out that
a) he is an intolerant asshole
b) he is an idiot (justifying anything by the bible warrants this)
c) I am atheist.

hmm.. Gotta say, playing this alone I was somewhat underwhelmed.

Total lack of ambience, awful lighting and lack of confirmation that a control point is being captured/contested immediately stand out as flaws.

I await a playtest.

Why can't we all be as reasonable and rational as our representative from the church of Christianity - Tito.

The revolution starts here! Know a homo? REMIND THEM THEY'RE GOING TO HELL. AIDS WAS SENT BY GOD IN RESPONSE TO HOMOSEXUALITY.

You're all sinners.
Everyone knows that God hates homos and is trying to save America from their kind.

P.S. I own a 360 and a Wii. My 360 is currently being used as a paperweight, and my Wii is in a cupboard somewhere.
Having spent many hours playing PS3, I can conclude that it is no better than the 360, and as such I would never consider buying one.

If you own a decent PC, consoles are literally pointless. Crap online play, no third-party content, dumb-down graphics and quite often poor framerate.

Controls are pish for FPS games (although 360 is VASTLY better at it than PS3) and as 360 controllers can be used with PCs, fighting games and sports games are still better on PC too.

People who don't like L4D don't have friends. Simple as.

L4D,
the Battlefield series,
arguably TF2.

What do they all have in common? Not very fun playing with strangers, but become a totally different game when playing with a bunch of mates.

Tito, tinted windows and chrome rims are hideously tacky. If you need to spend money on a car to pick up women, you might want to reevaluate your attitude.

JeffMOD, you should really go and see Avatar in 3D.
Clearly you've seen nothing where it's been done well.

Avatar doesn't have objects "flying towards the camera." It's all very subtle, and makes the experience much more submersive.

As for price, to go and see a film in the Glasgow Imax is only ~?1 more expensive than regular cinemas.

no results for either map were found on TWHL. Add links.

It's as basic as it gets. [ url] LINK [ /url] with no spaces.

My favourite rooms have to either be WCD's, which genuinely made me jump (bravo for achieving that in GldSrc) or DiscoStu's which confirms my belief that that man is a comedic genius.

But all of them were excellent.
See in Jeffmod's room, i looked around for a way to open it for AGES but eventually gave up and noclipped through the shutters. What was i missing?

I dreamt that while I was wearing a suit with a red tie - i strangled someone to death, stole their uniform and then got shot when somehow the other guards could still see right through my disguise.

Oh, and I was bald.

As a media student, journalism and the ability to write from a personal standpoint is very important. We get these assignments every so often with very personal briefs such as "Write about a lost love" etc

the drumming seems really clumsy in Saturday Night.

Neural Shutdown is really good, although at some points after a build it seems almost disappointingly empty. Perhaps record the vocalist singing the harmony as well and layer that in.
Although that could be bias since 2 of my favourite bands use this 1-vocalist-2-voices technique

yeah, it's... uh, a map... :)

Shows a good understanding of some key Source entities. Like all mappers transitioning from GldSrc to Source, you need to use solid props in harmony with brushwork as opposed to just filling box rooms with items.
Lighting was the weakest point. Use light_spots more than regular light entities, and lower the lightmap grid to generate some nice shadows.

Oh, and the outside bit at the end didn't have a cubemap, so it still used reflection information from the garage/warehouse.
Clicky.

Good start.
Drunk Barney wins you points, but I won't rate until it's more finished.

a postage-stamp sized chunk of silicon is a lot.
Remember that the size of your processor is mostly for the connections. The actual silicon part is about the size of a pinkie-nail.

This will mean an extremely high price.

Also, will software have to be specially coded to take advantage of the power offered?
