You get the look of a HL2 map (no bump mapping :o) But the good playabilty of a cs 1.6 map Unless it doesnt play good which i have no idea if it does or not.

The Lift is actually a 2 part system. It took me about an hour to do. Its a func_door_rotating and a func_train
Runs via a multimanager when you hit the lift button.
It took some time to get the speed of the train to match the rotation of the lift.
I did run out of time. It was the competetion map and i started about a week into it. As of right now, im re-texturing some things on the map, im gonna full vis compile it. (right now its normal) Smooth out the bugs.. maybe add some detail past the school, inside the school and whatnot. ALso fix the ugly lip you see in the back corner near the lift, where the sky meets the cliff face.

yes i want to see clearly INSIDE the rock. Heres what i want to do. The atmosphere. is sopossed to be dark. Its sopossed to be a night map.. raining.. high waves.. steam coming off the water. i also want to ass a boat for the T spawn instead of that little hack-job island i got going on. i need some ideas because the game isnt balanced really. i was playing with bots, spectating. and the ct's won every time. I need some ideas of how to make it balanced.

Elon i dont know what you mean by turning off the sprites when you enter the rock. Its COunter-Strike. How would you individually turn off the sprites? Or do you mean somethign else? Lost coast.. my cpu doesnt have half of whats it's sopossed to to run hl2. YOu think i can run lost coast lol. But yeah i'll look into it thanks.

Um.. Im working on effects like fog and rain. It's just a matter of time and learning how to use them.The map is completed, but its not complete. i added a 3-d skybox to the level. its only water though.. There is a problem with the light_env im having.. but i'll get that sorted out soon.

I dont get it... I get to the room with the laser.. It blows up one of the barneys... That secret room isnt very secret.. and... Where do you go after the laser rom. This has like.. absolutley NO storyline whatsoever.. The training room didnt do anything either.. 2 stars...

New update. Bombsite B now completed. Excruciatingly generic nukes, no bombsite yet (you cant plant) blast dorrs, the whole shabang. I want to ask somebody for a favor. If they can please make me some computers fer my map? im out of creativness, please. either by prefab or a tiny .rmf, Tnx a bunch.

I see. Now.. to block vis acrossa a map, does can the block have a break in it? Er.. i see what u mean by the 2:1 scale. I applied that to my map. i dont see what the up view on the ladder does though...

Heh.. something about the texture i got for the walls.. it doesnt like to line up properly. im thinking about making the enire middle section windows.. that would be a huge skytex though. This is cool (and aggtrevating) that the walls look decent. Im working on the paths to and from the bombsite right now, i dont feel like ginving the .bsp yet (only because it takes less than 2 min to compile) and its coming along very well as of right now.. so new update.

Ok I got rid of 80 percent of the skyboxes, i put in some REALLY generic storefronts/buildings and i extended the road so that it looks its off the street (you cant get in there) Lag is down a lot but its still is noticble. Maybe its my computer , i dont know.
But the good playabilty of a cs 1.6 map

You can see The glass. Might wanna Null That. And the cracks in the rock caught my eye in the first place.

i give it a 2
for reasons that its better than most of my early stuff
and finally an aim map thats actually a map and not a box with a floor.

ill re-cmopile and upload.
I give it a 4 because it was rather short.. i would've liked to see the aftermath.... you know.. after freeman opens the portal... Nice job though
