Who takes screenshots like that? The window isn't even maximized. Put some more effort into showcasing what you've made.

Maybe you'll run into Scott Manley, he's learning to fly in a Cirrus as well. Maybe you both have the same instructor. xD

I've fixed your images, but for some reason your second image links to an image that says 'no pic :('. That looks like a mistake on your part.

Quite the random selection of random pictures really.
That tridimensional door looks really neat, but the brushwork is terrible, looks like carving was used, which is bad practice.

And thanks Striker, yeah I'm doing good. Getting real tired of this gosh darn pandemic. Wish it was over.

It's a Minecraft world in which a weird pattern on the ground has been found but doesn't seem to make any sense... unless you have a smartphone...

Cool stuff.
Where you there when the Atlas V with Starliner launched? Apparently Starliner made an oopsie and didn't perform its burn to rendezvous with the ISS when it was supposed to. Something about the spacecraft's clock not matching the mission elapsed time that made it "think" it had already performed the burn. But hey, it's a test flight, so not a big issue.

Thanks Urbles, yeah she got accustomed really quickly after she arrived. Kind of unique really. My word she can purr loud.
Oh and, my poor chair. She prefers to use her nails on the chair instead of the climbing pole. I guess that's what happens.

If I ever finished what's left of Uplink Extended (and I intend to), I'll put a picture of her somewhere hidden.

Not at all half bad! An enjoyable singleplayer level in the style of the "We've got hostiles" chapter.

Why in the world did you include a liblist.gam and a bunch of resource files? That's totally unnecessary if there's no custom content like models, sprites and sound at all.

My only complaint is the overal lighting of the map, I find it a bit bland. I would'nt say boring, but uninteresting. I mean, take a look at the thumbnail screenshot above, the ceiling is almost pitch black. Could be my monitor brightness setting, but you did pick a pretty dark texture for the ceilings. You could've spruced up your ceilings with smaller lights for example, as well as cables, pipes, small electronics like power boxes lit by small spotlights, stuff like that, or instead of having one big brush making up the ceiling of one room, break it up a bit, have support beams, or mix in some other textures.

Other than that, a well layed out map. :)

I'm still getting over the loss of my good friend who passed away on July 30th. It's still hard.

Admer-jokes. They're real!

Seriously now, you really had to explain it all? My last comment about me not understanding was just me being sarcastic. I've been playing Half-Life and mapping for it since, I don't know, 2000/2001-ish? I knew about Half-Life in Germany and its absence of blood and gore before you were born even, pretty much.

But it's all good, no hard feelings. :)

I know exactly what it's like losing your beloved pet, although my last cat passed away in February due to aging (19 years old), nothing is worse than having to sign paperwork to end a pet's live like you had to do. That's the worst.

My condolences to you.

Nah that can't be it. Try opening your maps in Hammer/Sledge and make sure you've loaded the wads you want to use as well, then just re-export to MAP and compile again. Maybe some paths got changed?

I've never used wad.cfg, wadincluding on the CSG page works just fine for me.
Commented 9 years ago2015-03-31 14:34:23 UTC in journal: #8529 Comment #61208
I'm sorry to hear you're having troubles. I know that my Compilator isn't entirely bugfree and programmed in the most efficient way, but IT WILL compile if there are no other issues.
I see a bunch of Ambiguous leafnode content warnings, but that shouldn't keep the map from compiling. Perhaps you can fix these and see what happens?

Also, did you run RAD at least?

If you use Spirit of Half-Life, you can. You can attach (parent, move with) the rotating door entity to the elevator and it will move along with it.

That was fun. I should do something similar with an old map of mine that I made when I first started mapping.
