Oh shit I almost forgot.
I got a new tow vehicle Friday. Its a 2002 Hyundai Elantra GLS. Snazzy little thing.
Car looks similar to this picture.

/me is still saddened about my truck, but it can be fixed.

Wow, who could have thought making a mod without inspiration can be so hard!?
( I haven't made a single map for it yet ! :aggrieved: )

Although I already have a plot and idea, I can't seem to have the energy to finish even a single map... I guess it's back to the drawing board for me . :(

On a totally unrelated note: I edit out any and all comments added by admin. They have their own journals and have absolutely no business crowding others entries with their own additions. Be it good/bad, justified/unwarranted. I am ashamed of what I read.

As for my own journal entry: 2 days ago, I lost my pickup off the back of a bus I was delivering. In 8 years and over a million miles, this was the first time I lost any of my tow vehicles.

I loved that truck, and was sad to see it crash into a wall on the interstate exit ramp.

1,2,3... Testing!
Hua. it work's!
Ok, I've found my digitalized Apocta drawing, this was the initial concept of that map, and it has some differences:

I think it's a good ideia to share it here, I've planned many garbage around the ocean and those cables would be like trains. But that would not work in the hl engine... and there are tons of additions that were planned when I was mapping.

Ok, that's it, you are dismissed!
(Don't care my ultra godlike English)

I have good news, and better news!

Good News:
After I clean up some messes with my homework, I'm open for oddjobs. 3DS MAX 8 works for me again! Please let me finish the jobs i have in progress.

Better News:
After much study and practice. I've become adept with the tasks of skinning and animating. These were the two hardest aspects of modelling, but I'm comfortable with doing both. Of course, I'm muh better at modelling. I also remodelled and re-rigged the classic set of HEV suit hands for future use. I can hook them up with advanced IK chains and controllers, but HL doesn't recognized the system at all. However, the Classic Bone system HL uses was reimplemented in a much cleaner and smarter way that allows more flexibilty and control with the use of envelopes and the weight table.

I also found out how crappy the original hand model really is. Many of the faces are messed up and some vertexes were poorly attached. Fixed. The oddly shaped arm was a mess in itself with a poorly shaped rectangular cylinder. Fixed. Also, parts of the mesh were not properly moving with the corresponding bones as specified in the original, or maybe it was just max. Fixed.

I'm a little anxious about doing a character, though I should test it before offering it to the public. I believe I can simply attach a new mesh to the existing bones of any model. Even modify the animations a little. If so, I can perhaps do new monsters for some of the mods out there.

If anyone would like, you can drop me some work. I'll make a list and first come first serve.

IN THE ZWN!

Exos, after reading through your long, shitty, poorly spelt journal entry i realised something, something that needed telling.

And that is to go hang yourself.

Talk about going out with a bad bang Exos

If Exos thought this site is crap (Which is isnt) why the heck did he join in the first place ?

First of all, he is a good mapper however his ego is bigger than his skills, and what ive thought of him is that he uses his mapping talent so he can start moaning at people ?

Anyway, most of the stuff he said in that long winded (and boring !) journal entry was mostly (or all) rubbish

For example, he says that Striders map are rubbish and arent good, but in my opinion his maps are decent, especially the Renegade Mod (Which i cant wait to be finished Strider). Also, he does know what hes talking about, hes helped me in many situations.

But, Exos goes on about how people criticise maps unfairly ?. I dont know about anyone else but i think thats what Exos was doing to Striders maps ?

What does Ant have to do with it Exos ?

He is a good admin / moderator, AT LEAST we have competitions and tutorials ?. Anyway surely Exos should know out of most people, its the quality not how much time you spend on it ?

And so what if Ant doesnt spend all his time on TWHL.... thats a good thing surely ?. Even Moderators need some time to themselves you know.. unless your Exos and you want moderators on all the time of course......

The last thing, i might not be near the top skilled mappers, but i can still realise talent when i see it, and trust me there is ALOT of talent in this community !

Hope you enjoy my first long journal entry

Nothing spices up a community more than some whining drama queens and bad-ass mods who edit their posts. Entertainment at its finest.
