For the past week, I've been hosting a CS clan server. Good thing the players on the server aren't too much of a hassle to force me to moderate the server. The hackers aren't too much of a hassle. There's only been two, and one is banned; the other one left before I could ban him. Oh well...

If you feel like playing on our server:

Server Name: [#nf] Clan Server
IP Address: 24.242.224.212:27015
Ping Range: I'd say from 30 to 90 when the server is the only thing using up internet and from 80 to 250 when my dad is using the internet.

You may come when the server is not passworded. Just don't hack. :)

By the way, I'm quite close to 1000 logins. :D

YAI! Nobody is more surprised than I that I placed, let alone won. :o

With the onslaught of good/new reviews, and my slacking toward the end of this, didn't see any possiblility of placing...

I personally thought that my reviews were too opinion-based, and could/should have incorporated more constructive criticism--which I guess showed in my average.

I guess since I won though, it's safe to say my reviewing practices are at least ok :)

Yesterday morning the bell rang, and there it was, my new joystick. The Saitek X52 HOTAS Flight control system. In simple words: The best joystick one can have.

Ok, so maby not The BEST, still it is in the top 3. It has a shitload of sliders, axis and buttons, the best thing is you can program that into 3 modes + 3 aditional modes, that means a awfull lot of functions on the stick :D

Live switching between NAV mode and landing mode in Flightsimulator, Arming my bombs and rockets in Sturmovik and imediatly back to dogfighting on the same buttons, yes its all possible!! I absolutely love this stick!

Here are a couple of pictures from it:

Merry whatever your faith..

I hate people who don't check their work and have just spent the best part of the morning trying to fix a large project.
What happened?
I bundled 148 custom maps into a single installer that covers every map on my clans server. The idea was to make all the server maps accessible for the clan members from a CD. Great idea and not really much work, had it finished in an hour or so and installed it on my machine as a test.
While I was there, I dropped into a clan war to see what was going on....

dod_donner is a classic war map.

IT IS NOT, nor has it ever had Large Javlin like rain sprites falling from the sky obscuring everything.

Someone thought it would be a great idea to piss about with Valves rain.spr and make their own... Nothing wrong with that and I think it should be encouraged. Just remember to name it anything but rain.spr....

While I am on a rant, if you release a map to the public remember to test it on a machine other than your own. This will highlight missing wad's, models and sounds prior to the big day.
