He made that account to ask questions. My guess is he made it because if he thought a question was newbish, but didn't want people to know he didn't know what he was asking, he could ask the question with the new account.

A long time ago, there once was a newbie mapper named VOX. Now VOX had just joined TWHL, and was ready to disply his (then newbie) skills. He had created a little HL1DM map called dm_2fort_vox. It was a blocky, bad brushwork and bad r_speeds map, but it was fun none the less.

But one added feature since he can decrease r_speeds alot, a whole little system of caves inside the cliff, with sniping points, and ramps/tunnels leading in and out and up and down to every concievable point.

GIF's will make this like hl improvement. It takes like 10 minutes for a page to load because of peoples damn gif avatars and signatures. Keep it to a jpg, it's all you need.
worst part- compiling. Multiple compiles of 3.5 hours long.
I made a gihugic cathedral with chanting in the background. THAT was a chore. Most of the really detailed stuff you can't really see well because it'ss o much higher up than you are, and kinda blends with the textures.
Yea it might be a good idea, but think of how many topics are started. The stuff forum isn't overflowing enough to split it up yet. Plus what is the stuff forum here for anyway? For stuff that doesn't relate to HL, so let's keep it that way, no need to have 2 stuff forums.

What do you mean by not believing anything? You mean being atheist? If so than that has got to be the dumbest thing I have ever heard. I don't believe in any gods or anything like that because there being one is illogical. Don't say I am a liar. I don't believe in any religion because I don't believe there is anything there. I am atheist because I HAVE given it alot of thought, like look at the world around us, look at space, research space and other things like that, research science and physics, you will find that it is simply against the way things work in this universe for there to be any entity. I think about this kind of thing all the time.
They don't care about it enough to formulate an ideaI got news for you. My idea is simply that there is no gods, godesses, or any other entities that people may believe in.
A new forum would be stupid. We have a stuff forum and it works fine, I don't see why you need another one it's not like there are new topics that fill up the screen.
I'm sorry but if your brain is inactive, it's impossible for you to be conscious. An inactive brain is almost the same as having no brain. An inactive brain isn't telling your organs to work, so the person must be dead.
Consciousness isn't energy, well in a way it is. Think of your consciousness as a computer. As long as there is electricty (blood, oxygen) the computer runs. When you lose consciousness, your brain just isn't analyzing it's surroundings (comp goes into sleep mode), but you have the potential to regain consciousness. (Pressing the mouse/sleep-button again)

I once had a dream where I was running from a falling fat man. But it was no ordinary fat man, he was the size of an office building. He fell on me, and it didn't feel good i can tell you that.
I have had the same dream at least 5 times maybe in my life...I'm not going to go into it.
But there is this other dream I have every so often where I will be doing something random, then I can feel this sensation, even though I'm sleeping, that "the thing" is going to happen. And then I hear like this constant insane loud shrill noise and either a dead face, or a skull or some other scary sight is like filling up my "view" and if I don't wake up before "the thing" happens it's like...wow, it's so bad that I've remembered to wake up in time ever since the first few dreams, ever since I was about 5.

not with hammer, i mean go into it's properties and under pitch, yaw, and roll udjust the "Z" one. If that doesn't work try the same thing with the train itself.

umm, this is off the top of my head so it might not work. Make a brushe with the aaa texture and put it in the players path. Make it a trigger_once and set it to target a multi_manager. With the multi_manager set that to target all the windows you want broken.

as most religious discussions will probably end, everyone can choose to believe what they want to believe, so go with what you want to do and forget about (in a religious manner) other people.

That just doesn't make any sense. christianity didn't even exist! some guy wrote a book about a dream he had of the way things should be, lost it somewhere, died, and eventually his book was found by a person(s) who don't think and BAM there is chrisianity.

I an underwater setting might work if you did it right, you just have to make a better plot in my opinion. Maybe instead of a paradrop to a boat (?) you make like a little speed boat or transport vehicle that drives up and drops you off. Here are some ideas.
-Forget a conpiracy, make it a horror mod, low lights, scary monsters, sooo much you could do with an old shipwreck.
-Use spirit (just a thought) so you can have fog greatly enhance the outdoor portions of the boat. (you wont see an ugly skybox when the water ends)
-make most of the mod on/in the ship and make it big. only near the end have some kind of facility underwater.
-actually, I don't think an abandoned ship plus an UW facility go together, maybe the pilot drives/sails/flies to a bouy and then you jump into the water and swim to the facility.
-have some ickies in the water for lots of horror (you have no weapons yet)

Religion was made by humans because they didn't like they idea of when you die, it's like being asleep without having a dream. It was made so people could control other people, so humans would fear being damned or some other punishment, and because they want life after death.
If other animals don't even know what a religion is how come they don't worship or go to heaven or hell?
If there is other life on other planets somewhere in the universe, what makes you think they have religion(s)? And if a sentient being created everything, why did he create things that don't worship him?

I do the same thing as daubster, with the player starts and whatnot, though I hardly ever write my stuff out on paper first, it's usually just a 1 minute scetch when it pops in so I can remember it later.
You need a proton when you have an electron because opposites attract with electricity. That may fall into your "God's Theory" but I believe it is just simple physics.

For every action there is an equal and opposite reaction. Don't think of that literally. When you push on a wall, it doesn't push back that just means that you need to exert x amount of force before the wall's own power isn't sufficiant enough to hold it up. If that didn't exist, you could just, well, fly at infinite speed anywhere you want in the universe and push anyone and anything in your path down, but that also means that everything else has the power to move at infinite speed and blow you to smithereens with no force at all.
Don't take this for being to harsh. I understand your point, and it is a good theory, it's just not a very realistic one.

select the brush(s) that are near those coordinates and re-make them, and make sure if you are vming the brushes are valid

you think THAT is a messy desktop? I'm running at 1280x1024 and I have like 8 spaces left.
OMFG i can't do the simplest thing in windows. You know how after the filename it shows the filetype extension? I don't have that anymore since I installed windows. So I can't change files or create files that aren't on that little "new" list. I can't even tell what a file is by looking at it I have to guess by its icon.
How do I get it so that I can see the filetype extension and when I rename it, so it actually re-creates the file to what I rename it to?
