you could use teh 'kill target' line of the trigger_once but I'm not sure how you'd go about triggereing that, perhaps use another entity with teh 'kill target' line in it, and just end teh buyzone.

Basically, I'm not sure how CS would react to you 'killing' teh buyzone, but by all means try it.

Just rememebr you'll need to kill the buyzone, and somehow trigger an entity with that 'kill target' line when you shoot the case.

don't use round resets or things liek that just yet, first make teh basic entity set up and test that for as many bugs as you can. It's best to test with at least one other person, as bugs can become more obvious when there's a player on each team.

But basically: try and avoid using lots of seperate multi_managers and game_playerequips; what I meant was:

have 8 trigger_once entities, all named 'ctequipa'; and 8 named 'ctequipb' and have two seperate multi_managers named ctequipa and ctequipb, so that the equipping is split up between multi's. This may not even be neccesary, try it with all the triggers (for one team) targetting teh same multi_manager. Then see if it crashes (which it shouldn't but teleporters and triggers need a little bit of tweaking to get them to run smoothly).

I didn't like it for all those reasons ^ and the fact console FPS's are very weak.

I never played it on the PC, did it even come out on teh PC?!

The whole game was very bland, they spent too much time advertising it, and not enought time making it.

Halo stole it's name from HalfLife, and they used aliens and it sucked.

Worst game ever imho. The multiplayer sucked, teh vehicles sucked, the weapons sucked, teh story sucked, on teh whole.. it sucked.

Screw Halo.

Well that's just my opinion, but I think FPS's on consoles suck in general.

Well, this is where my disclaimer comes in, some things will give you more problems and headaches than is worth teh hassle.
But here's what I would do:

A trigger_once under the player spawn, bear in mind it might be worth using a teleoprter to get the player into the map area, so that they can't run through other players trigger's and get weapons they shouldn't etc.
Set the triggers to target the multi_manager (you shldn't need multi-threaded) and have that target the game_playerequip, using too many playerequips can cause problems, so it may be worth experimenting with spreading the work out over two or four multi_managers, ie, different triggers target a different multi_manager, and they in turn target different game_playerequip's. But be warned, too many equip/trigger entities may cause errors (you getting the idea yet :P )

Now just follow the tutorial to set up the gameplayer_equip and the multi_manager, don't go ticking anything taht isn't mentioned, as things liek Use Only will not work unless the player knows they have to 'use' teh trigger, which they can't see, so don't.

Does that explain it any better?

Probably not but hey, any more q's just post here, I'll be sure to check back, also, trying to explain exactly what you did is no match for putting a map in teh Problems Vault.

Yes, it's a classic tactic in maps like cs_militia to turn the lights on/off through teh wall and then rush in.

A simle method is to put the button or charger on a wall that has nothing behind it.
Or liek Brad said, make the walls thicker.

As for the gun being picked up, make teh cabinet thicker, or use a trigger/game_playerequip method to give weapons in cabinets.

Shut Up. You must stop being a twat right now.

Try making a small room, and put the ambient_generic, and a func_button in tehre, and manually trigger the sounds yourself, just to check it works.

Whenever you have a tricky set up that might not work but you want to check, always use a plain room to test until something works, nothign worse than compiling for an hour only to find out it didn't work.

No matter how annoying The Zombie may seem, he's a good guy, and he'll cut your balls off if you disagree.

You need to make sure you're running the RAD tool, which takes care of lighting, you also may have a leak, which would compile your map in Fullbright, where everything is lit teh same.

To solve both of these, get Batch Compiler with ZHLT compile tools, from Nem's website, or go to our (oops lol) TWHL's Links page.

And check teh tutorials on compiling.

If none of that applies, you should be made aware that if you have too many different styles of lights (more than 3 point based entity lights) your map won't compile properly.
It's an error of too many direct light styles on one face.

This means you need betetr RAD blocking, less Bounce, or use Texture lights.

In fact, I'd suggest using Texture lights asap.
