maybe two of them are in the walls, or there brightness is very low ? Oh I know. If the stuff in front of them is blocking them, turn the (stuff) blocking the lights into an entity, I would reccomend a func_wall. This will allow the light to shine threw them.

Yea but go to the download page and scroll down. See where it says notes: ? it says some things like having problems with loading second maps or something. Do I need to worry about this?

i dont need spirit, JUST a func_train, some triggers,and a custom texture ! jeez its so simple but the effect im sure will look very very real.

to make something glass, make it a func_breakable. In it's properties set its render mode to texture and its fx_ amount to whatever you want 0=completely clear and 255= completely solid so something like 150 is fine. Also set it's material type to glass.

And before asking in the forums, view the tutorials, they have all this in them and explain mutch better!..

Ive had world craft for a long time now but i have always been hearing people talking about better versions and newer ones. My computer is at my neighbors house getting upgraded and he is going to erase everything on my comp. I was just wandering what the latest and BEST! version of worldcraft or hammer was and what you would recommend me getting now that I need to get it again. I dont want to get spirit but just the latsest best version of half life editor. Ive got plenty of memory now to handle anything.

Gone latin you just wate ima get my comp with worldcraft back from being updated on monday and ima proly make a mod and ill put it in there!...noob... If I make the room dark and the glass hardly see through itl work with such an efect that it will look real. and the room will have to be small in order to make it not look fake. But thats not all there is to it, it doesnt include coding but it does include a custom texture!!! :P

I alwready know how to get a camera to make its view swing back in forth, but i want to get the camera itself to move as if the player is moving when he realy is not. An example of this is on Half life where you walk into a room and they knock you out and you wake up with them holding you. Can anyone help me.

If you used a func_train for it than click on the path corner at the top of the elivator and make sure that in its flags, wate for retriger or whatever isnt marked. Than in that path corner in its properties go to wate hear and choose how many seconds. And also make sure that the path corner at the top's next target is the path corner at the bottom.

Man no not huge stuff and me small... im gonna make couches that fit in the vents and stuff and like ity bity tiny citys with ity bith cars that drive around, thow ill have to be board to do all this. ITS JUST A GAME! like when your going threw the train at the beggining (((why does it say"your physical condition can and will have aeffect on the dependence of the people around you and stuff before the mayhem starts... and was there realy a point to mario i mean cmmon... the person that created half life has the whole story in his own head and knows that there realy isnt one! It was just a realy good game idea... but im not saying that I dont play this game pretty mutch every second of my life, Im just saying that its not like some alien made this game, just some plane old guy that was good with comps...and had an idea------Lol this is pretty mutch like talking about the mysteries of deerhunter like wow i wander if that big deer has been watching my progress...and taking notes... yet half life 2 WILL! explain a lotta stuff and i can alwready tell you that by watching all the movies.

Ok like everyone told me, I unzipped my pak file into the valve folder... Yea thats great uhh but now all I have is a new shortcut to wally threw valve. When I get wally in that valve folder (how do I use it to view the sounds??)please help.

When you set only trigger they can still be shot so give them a health of like 9999, thats what the game does.

To make a one way mirror you need to make one side of the brush {blue and the other side just like glass and than make it a funk wall with fx amount set to 255. To make a mirror what you do is copy the room, Flip it over from a top view to the other side of the mirror and make the mirror a little clear so you can see threw it into the other room which looks like a reflection. I guess to make you see yourself in it, make a funck track train that looks like gordon and make it get triggered to move in front of the window when you stand in front of it with a trigger_multiple...

just make a env glow with rendermode set to glow and everything else set the same as a sprite and i guess look at the dif... and only sprites can be triggered on and off... choose your own fx amount to whatever suits your map.

go to the begginers tutorial on how to ask a ? in the forums and click on the link that has like a lot of answers and than in blue words there will be something that says bad animating textures and click on it :nuts:

All I got right now is good old Half life, and that comp. isnt even good enough to get counterstrike working but it could have internet if i would get a good router... Back when I was a lot younger I grew up with counterstrike every day, but now my comp needs to be upgraded and my parents dont care :zonked: :zonked: :zonked: thx for the help!............man even thow i wont be able to play any maps I submit, I think I should try submitting one because no one has ever seen any of my maps...

well when I use wally is all i do is just click on the folder called pak on my desktop and than in the adress bar open it up threw there? because there is no sound folder there. Did I do something wrong?

Ok i know I may sound stuped for asking this, but when i open up my pak folder I than open up the half life directory. Is this the file that the sounds and stuff are in ? because i cant find them. I know some of you have explained it before but I just cant find the sound folder, I got my sound in the right format and everything but i just have to put it in the right place.

I want to get a song in half life but it is very long. Im pretty sure there is a program where you can put your song in and make the song end where you want it to so that you can make it looped. If anyone could give me a link to a download of this it would help me out a lot. Also maybe if you could help me by teling me what folder to put the sound file in and what format it has to be in but all i realy care about is the program. Thanks a lot...
