Ok, I didn't figure out, how to make the boss go to the door, but i did try making another guy walk to it. And it worked. I placed 1 scientist at the top floor, near the stairs and he walked to the door and opened it. Maybe you should investigate the info_nodes in ur map a lil bit more? :)

Easy. Just enter the script's name in the target field and set repeat rate to... 2? Check the flag "repeatable" and "no interruptions" and you're set! :)

in War of the worlds - idea for a mod Post #119659
Hi, everyone!
I just came back from the cinema, where I watched "War of the worlds". And daaaaam that movie is like a already edited and specially designed scenario for a HL2 mod!
The storyline is like this:
You are one guy who works as a crane operator in a port (note that you could easily make a crane in hl2!), and suddenly strange things started to happen all over the earth. Big thunderstorms were rushing thru all the world and destroying every mechanical, electronical device possible (realisic thunderstorms - very possible with good entitywork and source's engine). Then after the destruction on the communications aliens with giant robots started coming out of the ground (note that those aliens were very strider-like and shot the same beams as striders!). Also the alien-creatures look similar to the vortigaunts! So your job is to form a resistance and destroy those aliens...
I think this mod would be pretty easy to make with some good mappers, modelers, skinners and perhaps with a lil' help from coding. I think that those, who have seen the movie would agree with me.
I can't map for HL2, but hey - what do you source mappers think of this idea? :)

Ok, I wanted to compile my map and I got this err.

BuildFacelights:
10%...20%...30%...40%...50%...60%...70%...80%...90%...Malformed face (2747) normal @
(-2278.00, 1325.00, 90.00)
(-2278.00, 1328.00, 90.00)
(-2278.00, 1328.00, 90.67)
(-2278.00, 1324.96, 90.67)
Error: Malformed face normal
Description: The texture alignment of a visible face is unusable
Howto Fix: If using Worldcraft, do a check for problems and fix any occurences of 'Texture axis perpindicular to face'

It says that I should check my map for errors. So how come, when i press ALt+P I get a dialog, saying "no errors were found"?? :(
Maybe I should try finding the face manually. Any1 know any ways of doing that or any solutions for this problem??
All help would be apreciated...

Yea... I guess I should use another camera or somethin... :
Anywho the train that is the target for the cam (targ2) moves in circles between those 3 path_corners... Maybe theres some way to make it move into another path_corner? I think I've heard of somethin like trigger_changepath or path_changetarget... But I don't see anythin like it in the entity list... :(
Anywho valve did that somehow! When you drove the flatbed in "on a rail", there were those rotating thingies that changed your trains path, when shot at.Any idea on how that was done?

I'm having problems with this entity.
I have a camera in my map, called "sitcam".
It follows a func_train called "targ2" which moves in a set of path_corners called "pth1, pth2, pth3"
After some time, i trigger a trigger_changetarget which has theese options:
name: change_view
target: sitcam
KillTarget: targ2
NewTarget: targ3

And I've put a info_target in my map called "targ3"
When I trigger the trigger_changetarget - nothing happens... WHY?? :(

I've just had this idea:
Why not make a reminder system for TWHL members who don't log in anymore? This reminder system would send an email to the user's adress, reminding him of his membership in TWHL if the user wouldn't log in for like... 3 months or more.
What do you think of this? :)

You can get OPF for like $3 here... just search for it at secondhand stores.. cashconverters!?
I'll be honest... My parents won't give me a fuckin cent to spend on games thru credit card... I would hav ordered it thru ebay or some other crp ages ago if I had the cash. (you cn find it on amazon for 2$) I could only buy games from shops with my pocket money... And I don't hav a credit card too. Op4 is
a blewdy old game
, so i hav no chance finding it in the shops. The op4 i had b4 was dled from emule, but now i cant find teh foggin thing...
OMG. If you have a CS CD you should just be able to double click it in the play-games menu and dl it.
My cs ver. is cracked... :)

Guess I'll have 2 dl every fuckin p2p utility possible to find it... Oh well... I hav time.
