Houndeyes are three-legged sonic dog-like creatures, part of Xen's wildlife. They operate in packs and defend themselves with sonic blasts. They are relatively weak and their attacks take some time to charge, but a pack of houndeyes can quickly overwhelm a player if they manage to corner them. Houndeyes may fall asleep after a while.
Sonic blasts damage anything within a 192 unit radius, except for other houndeyes. Damage is halved if there is no direct line of sight between the houndeye and a target. Houndeyes that are part of a squad deal up to 30% extra damage (10% per squad member). This is reflected by the color of the blast.
