From me being careless ended up destroying my 6800XT and now I've reverted back to the ever so old 5200FX. I attempted to unlock some pipelines only realising it destroyed parts of the actual hardware. The dialogue box clearly stated, 'use it at your own risk' and now I regret actually opening RivaTuner. I learnt my lesson now... Time look for another graphics card. Looking for AGP card below $100. And yes, the budget is tight.

Wow man, that sucks ass. Shouldn't play with expensive stuff like that unless you know you can afford to replace it.

Well now I've actually got it to work again. Just had to un-do the changes. Only problem now is that every time I play a game, up comes Blue Screen with something on the lines of "nv4_disp.dll" which happens to be something about the nVidia drivers. Gonna update them soon.

Oh boy do i hate that "nv4_disp.dll" blue screen.
I had so many problems with it, and I can't really say that I found solutions to any of them.

In other news, I'm still using ancient AGP, and just got an HIS Turbo IceQ3 ATI Radeon 3850, and its running great!

Personally, I will never use Nvidia, I've used their cards before, I gave them a chance, but they screwed me over too many times.

I'm still planning on getting a 3850... But I think saving up for a PCI-e motherboard is better in the long term....

Yes it is. But I'm too lazy to do so.

Don't be like me! :P

I've never used anything but an Nvidia card, ever since my first GeForce 4 MX 440. I still have it, and it's working great! Never had any issues with Nvidia, and seeing as ATI messes up Hammer and junk, it makes ATI seem pretty crappy. I wouldn't ever buy an ATI card, I think. Not in the current market, anyway.

Hey i still have a GeForce 2 MX 400. And it's still working too!

I hear tons of that stuff about messing up hammer and junk, but I've never had that happen to me, not with my x1950, not with my 3850, and not with the ATI card I had previous to that. Hmm, I don't know

The only solution I've ever had to driver BSODs is a reformat. That's always balls.

Actually, come to think of it, I had an ATI Driver BSOD playing fallout 3 (A very unstable game actually)

That was the first time I had added the game to steam as a non steam game, and tried running it with the game overlay.

So I stopped doing that, and haven't got that problem since. Weird.

Fallout 3 is indeed quite unstable.
