satchmo satchmo“Ever tried. Ever failed. No matter. Try again. Fail again. Fail better. -- Samuel Beckett”
I had a bad dream last night.

I dreamed that there was a growing cult that abducts children and poisons them. I was trying so hard to hide my son and protect him.

Now I wonder whether it's because I was playing too much BioShock. I do rescue all the Little Sisters, but they do creep me out.

I guess playing this game at night reflects what I do during the daytime--rescuing children and making them well again

I dreamt I kept driving around a jungle for hours and hours and every 5 minutes some soldier would blow up my car and it got really annoying.

I dreamt that while I was wearing a suit with a red tie - i strangled someone to death, stole their uniform and then got shot when somehow the other guards could still see right through my disguise.

Oh, and I was bald.

I dreamt that I was a soldier who was captured by a group called the Movement, and I had no memory of anything before that. I escaped, and then I began to remember that I had psychic powers.
It was awesome.

DREAMED. Come on, I'm not even a native English speaker.

I once dreamed something super cool. I really had a feeling of being extremely happy. I dreamed I could fly. But the feeling... I can't explain it to you. And all in detail... the taking off( running at high speed and just stretching my arms and then going into the air...).

both "dreamed" and "dreamt" are in the dictionary.
Also you completely missed the point of the rest of the comments.

'both "dreamed" and "dreamt" are in the dictionary. '

I apply what I learn, helped by the firefox check spelling :D
No, I didn't miss the point, I was just serious.

I dreamt about being born, growing up, having a birthday, taking a test, and being whisked away into the world, to find my dad.

All in the course of 10 minutes.

My wife asked me not to play BioShock anymore because of my dream.

But I did anyway last night, and I slept like a baby (without any dreams).

It happens sometimes.
Last night I dreamt that I was on a roof, and cops were shooting at me, so I ran inside, but there were cops there, and they knocked me out. When I woke up, there was a beautiful woman leaning over me, and she took me to a vending machine, then I woke up.
Nah, I had a dream about TF2, in a map made out of the "Northern Petrol" cargo container models.

I loved this dream. I've had that one too, numerous times. Sometimes I was a guy, sometimes I was a girl... odd one.

I get regular flying dreams (once every couple of weeks or so), best stuff ever. Weird thing is, they're sort of progressing. Throughout a number of dreams where I'd just flap my arms and take off during my everyday routine, with my friends/family seeing me at that point, their reaction would progress from complete awe to something along the lines of "fly over to the corner shop and grab some milk, please?" in the most recent ones. Some weird shit, but I love those dreams.

I dreamt that the brakes on my car started failing while going down a very steep hill. Incidentally, the brakes in my car are scary as shit and need some serious work.

Try not to take any roads that have steep hills. Stay home and lock the doors if you live in San Francisco.

A couple o nights ago I had a dream in which I was walking through a progression of different rooms, each one of them different from the others, all of them completely unrelated except for connecting hallways. And I ended up in a disco.

I dreamt once that I was waging this neighborhood war on a dog, and in the end, we made peace and danced with each other.

I still don't quite understand it.

I feel like I'm missing out. :(

I dreamt I was in the garden outside the house where I used to live, and there was a huge stone door to a cave, and hobbits and Gandalf were there, opening the stone door, and I shouted "Nooo! Don't open it!". There was a ten-meter troll in the cave, I got on a bicycle and it chased me for like two hours but I was all calm, biking around town with a smile on my face with the troll running after me.

I love how when you're dreaming, all the extremely bizarre events going on around you don't bother you in the slightest. Then you wake up thinking "WTF?"

I once had a dream about my own birthday party but it was like, nowhere near my birthday. I didn't complain. Then I went to my room with a few of my mates to try out a new PC game I got. (I can't remember what this mystery game was called but I was very excited about it and I can remember the box art :P ) Opened the door to my room and this thick pink / purple slime was oozing out of my ceiling onto the floor and down the walls. I distinctly remember saying out loud "Oh great, the ceiling's doing that thing again." I woke myself up by talking and then I was just sat up in bed, wondering what the bloody hell my mind was playing at...

Also, http://sleeptalkinman.blogspot.com/ because people talking in their sleep is freaking hilarious.

I once had this very random dream; I was in this wierd metal building with other people and all of a sudden a bunch of scary aliens attack me and kill my friends; I pressed the esc button and woke up. I lol'd and went back to sleep. lol.

I remember all those years ago when I first saw alien. I had a dream that night that me and my friends were going home from school and an alien showed up and killed them all. Tore one of their heads clean off, and for some reason there was no blood, and the flesh in his neck stump looked like cooked fish.

Sounds like your dream needs to update its graphics card. That or turn off parental control.
Commented 14 years ago2010-01-09 16:46:00 UTC Comment #47767
I don't see the point in parental control in video games. When you kill someone there's blood (unless you drug or drown the person or do some other weird shit...), why try to hide that? It's like they're trying to make killing more acceptable.

@skals: I often attempt to press keys while dreaming too. I hope it doesn't mean anything!
Commented 14 years ago2010-01-09 17:43:27 UTC Comment #47753
I used to try and press Ctl+Z all the time. This wasn't in my dreams, this was in real life.
Commented 14 years ago2010-01-09 17:56:04 UTC Comment #47760
lol. Sometimes when I sleep I somehow know when something bad is about to happen in my dream and I can atcually wake myself up. Strange huh?

I have recurrent flying dreams too.

I would try to do a crouch-jump in my dream really hard, and suddenly I would be suspended in midair. From there, I do more crouch-jump moves, and my body would move higher and higher.

I tried that in real life, but it doesn't work.

hahaha satchmo.

I think everyone has flying - or atleast falling dreams. I've had those too. Sometimes you have a hard time in your sleep rapidly falling from the sky; only to find yourself waked up somehow lying on the floor.

I remember having a dream where you could swim in the air, as if it was as dense as water. Since then I've always wanted there to be a breathable fluid that you could swim in.
