Well, my new HDD seems to have died. My computer says it's not sensing any operating system, and any attempts to reinstall it fails, telling me there's an input/output failure in the drive. Right now I'm working of an Ubuntu Live Disk. :

Ugh, that sucks. My WD 500 GB lasted only half year, before getting bad sectors. High-priced, shitty HDDs FTW.

Another reminder to everybody that backing your stuff up is important! Upload it to your web hosting, store it on an external drive, put it on a different computer...do whatever you need to do to get your important files backed up! Don't bother with stuff that can be re-downloaded like games or movies or anything like that, just the stuff you've actually created. For me, I keep all my programming work on my web hosting in an SVN repo. Don't leave it until tomorrow lest your HDD break like TJB's did!

Luckily I took last time as an example. While I didn't have anything particularly important on the new drive, it had all been backed up, something that I now do every week.

SnCGames has an SVN repo. The Core is safe. Everything else I can get back. :D

But yeah TJB, that really sucks. :(

Yeah that sucks. I have an external HDD to which I intend to back up my important files but I'm a few years behind on that :P

Gotta back all the stuff up soon.

I was thinking about buying an external hard-drive for backup, but now the prices are so high I can't really afford to buy one.
