Well, 21st December 2012 is the next Doomsday.

Its past 6pm, and I'm thoroughly disappointed. I was promised a doomsday to remember by some old guy in America and he said it would be today at 6pm :(

I had my apocalypse suit on and everything. Prick.

Gentlemen straightens imaginary tie, I'm Dexter, new to TWHL. I've been working on a mod called HypernovA. Check my Bio for what it's about.

Anyways, for anyone who follows me over at moddb, you'll know that I've been working on a HECU marine model (X-LAyer, Urby, and Joebama are the only member that I know and remember who are watching it). It's coming along well. I've managed to make the arms and fix the weapon scale. Check it out here: http://www.moddb.com/mods/hypernova/images/hecu-body-npc-model-v06

Media in ultra small files?

Hell yeah! Today i was surfing over the ancient arhives on my HDD and found my cool DEMO folder.
So i thoughed, how many of you guys seen such a thing? So here it is, i uploaded the 2 i like the most.
The first file is called Chaos theory and its size is, guess it, 64kB!

Chaos theory

Its no virus, nor is it a stream download, its genuine 100% pure assembly code! Be amazed with what people can create using assembly.
Its all code, no textures or 3d models imported.

I love these things cause it takes a lot of time to make one and its really amazing. If you think that demo there is something, than check out this one:

Elevated

A freaking 4kB demo! One of my all time favorites, be amased at how well this was done!
Note: All demos need some time to get the data ready, so if you are behind an older PC, you will have to wait a bit. Also they both use pixel shader 2.0 and OpenGL 2.0
Have fun!

Hey guys,

Long time no see. I'm currently working for Beatnik Games and they asked me if I could help spread the word around that they're re-releasing Plain Sight on Steam for £2 on Wednesday which is around $4 for you Americans.

http://plainsightgame.com/

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GlICI85HqLs

It might also interest you to know that they've redesigned the gameplay mechanics to make it more challenging and rewarding. In the past you could explode your character after just 1 kill and usually you'd catch at least 1 player with the blast. Now they've made it so you can only explode once per every other kill. For example, 2 kills = BOOM but you can only explode after 3 and then 4 and so on. Each blast getting bigger the more you kill.

I didn't work on the game but I've been watching them over my shoulder for the past week and they've put a lot of thought and effort into improving what they once considered to be an unfair game.

Please help support them as it's only 2 pounds. Hell, I might make a few Plain Sight related hats for TF2 if you do :P Cheers.

Well, made a new short film like the one I made in autumn for the english project. Here it is: Link
It's intended to be a parody.

I know you're probably think it's not very laughable at, but with a limited time frame that's what I could came up with... And trust me, making the actors having patience is hard. Also I think I made about 10 cuts of a single simple scene due to continuous bursts of laughs.

No rolling hills of green, eh?

What about privacy? I don't like where this is going.
It's a good thing for people who aren't so smart or good at using computers, but seriously, pouring all the private data into someone's hands at distance?
You only need a bit of imagination. The ad is always presenting the good stuff.

I see the advantages, trust me. One of them is a key factor why the chromebook will be a success. It's speed.
But I just can't ignore the negative aspects of this.

If anyone wondered why I have been slightly more absent lately, and haven't entered any compos, well, this is the reason.

Le Cabanon
Roquebrune, Cap-Martin, France
Le Corbusier, 1952

Appears small? It IS. It is a bloody 3.6m x 4.4m (12' x 14') shack. It doesn't even have a bathroom - just a toilet behind a curtain. Only Le Corbusier can get away with that shit.

I got 9/10 for this last week. Can't be bothered to scan the accompanying big-ass plans. Coming up next: A house entirely by myself. Don't count on me entering any compos for a few months.

I've found more time for mapping recently and have been working pretty hard on an entry for the pool map competition. Is a 5 minute compile time normal, I'm used to my maps compiling in a matter of a minute but the pool map I've created slows down a lot, maybe because of all the brushes I've added for pool stuff. In other news I'm mapping for a mod again and this time one that actually seems to have a future, Hypernova, a Half-Life 1 mod where you play as Eli. http://www.moddb.com/mods/hypernova

So here I was, snapping some random photos in class while waiting for something, when I took this beautiful shot of a very pretty classmate without her noticing. The result is a very casual shot of her with a warm smile on her face.

BUT, even though I have never said a word to her, now I feel morally obliged to let her know of this and offer to either email it over if she likes it or delete it if she doesn't.

Why does life put me in such situations? :P

Yo chiptune lovers

I got just what you need. While searching for my favorite chiptune format, the IT - impulse tracker i have stumbled upon this archive of almost 95000 chiptunes!

http://board.kohina.net/viewtopic.php?id=905

The file size is 1.2GB, when installed 2.2GB, and it contains chiptune in various formats, such as: MOD, XM, IT, S3M, SID, GYM, YM, etc. Just take a look at the main folder properties screen:

[Edit] Most of the game music are in RAR/ZIP, so that adds about 10000 more files to the total count, making this even more extremely large :o

Everything is in folders, nice and clean. Also i recommend my favorite chiptune player the magical - = XMPlayer = - for listening to them.
The player supports a wide number of formats and plug ins. I use it for chiptune only. It can only play the most popular chiptunes [MOD, IT, XM, S3M]. For other stuff i use Foobar2000 with chiptune components. Foobar2000 can convert any chiptune to other audio format [OGG,MP3, etc] but thats an other story. Here are some screens for the XM Player:

This archive has a very large number of chiptunes, and listening to them all will be a time taking job :D

If any one knows where i can get IT modules please tell me!
Enjoy.
