no entities are required for Source water..

Create the brush you want to be your water, texture it entirely in nodraw.

Select your water texture, and place it on the top face only.

viola

edit:

Dont forget to add cubemaps so the water reflects the world

and learn to do a lot more on your own.. The way I see it, is you're not actually planning to do something, and although leading a mod is a lot of work (dont i know it) you need to be able to contribute more to the mod.

In Hostage Situation, I'm mapping, skinning monsters, voice acting and making sounds.

It's a lot of work, yes, but to make a great mod, every member of the team must work to their fullest. If they're not that great at a particular aspect of modding, but know basically how to do it, they damn well better improve.

That counts for the mod leader too. Thinking out an idea is one thing, running a mod is completely different, especially when you have nothing to show your experience..

And please, please use proper grammar.

My C drive reaches as low as 600mb sometimes, when earlier in the day it'll have been 2gb.

It's just temp files... if i restart the PC, it'll be back up at 2gb.

i suggest you split your HDD into 3 drives (although.. maybe not when its only 40gb...)

1 for windows (C) (15gb)
1 for steam (10gb)
1 for media and other games (15gb)

Its just the way openGL works. its not a bug, so there is no 'fix' appart from doing the following:

1. Up your in-game resolution. (make sure it's equal to or higher than 1024 x 768)

2. Up your texture resolution. When making textures, make them bigger. (but no bigger than 512 x 512)

Textlights or Texture lights are light emitting textures. Open your lights.rad in notepad to see which textures emit light.

Most of the light textures do. No entity work is required for textlights. Just make a brush with 1 face using a light emitting texture, and hey-presto.
No light entities required.

Simple and very powerful. Lots of video effects, 3 sound layers and 4 graphic/video layers.

You can use green-screening and picture-in-picture chroma key.
A library of transition effects and premade sounds.
