if theres an "empty" entitty, it means you did something to a brush, and somewhere along the way the entity came free of the brush and now occupies all of your map. just click "go to error" or whatever, then hit delete.

it would be, but a text walkthrough only goes so far. a text walkthrough wont get you through with exactly the same health each time, as each player responds differently in certian situations.

btw, how can a .dem no be easy? if youve played the map, youve got hl. thats all a .dem needs.

btw, it would be better to make people send in a .dem as they could easily put NOTARGET and noclip on, then fly to the bottom of the cliff, picking up armour on the way.

it might be weak, but its better than those other crappy consoles.

fable was thought out by peter molenyeux, the mastermind behind such ideas as black and white, and populous. quite an inventive guy.

rush 'outside world'
Example:
Entity 10, Brush 0: outside world(+/-4096): (9000, -64, 216)(9000,23,283)

There are a few cases that create the 'outside world' error. The first is an damaged brush, almost always created by a vertex manipulation gone wrong. The coordinates listed in the error are very important in diagnosing the error. If any of the coordinates are -9000 or 9000, then the brush is damaged, and most likely needs replacing completely. The second most common case is actually having a brush near or outside the edge of the allowable region for the world. The brushes are expanded slightly for some of the calculations during a compile, so brushes near the edge within 64 units will cause the error too. The cordon tool creates brushes automatically to box in the cordon region, and their brushes can sometimes be quite large, and also extend outside the world. This can be verified by opening up the .map created by an export with cordon enabled, and looking to see what brushes it made.

i agree with most of that, but if you think the only reason people dont want a model vault is because we dont want more new people your wrong. weve given the reasons multiple times, and the short answer is that it would just be a waste of time. if peace and love wants to make a model vault by himself thats fine. his problem is that he doesnt seem to be able to distinguish between maturity and immaturity, and spam and opinion. he also seems to have gotten the idea that i disagree with everything he says, which isnt true. i dont turn round to him after every post he makes and say "your wrong. i hate you.". to be honest, i dont know where that idea has come from.

your best bet would be a model. the alternative would be to use a brush with a fire sprite on top.

btw, sprites and models are in the tutorials section. theres not a tutorial on making torches, or specific objects ;)

thank you for showing me how immature i really am, and how mature and perfect you are yourself. we should all follow this shining example of a perfect man.

i didnt say you had revived any threads, i just said i didnt. and im still waiting for some sort of explenation to my constant "spamming". ive not disagreed with everything youve said. maybe its time you started realizing theres other people out there, with their own opinions, and you cant resort to mindless accusations every time one of them shows their opinions to be different to yours.

because i know you think my name is steve.

you seem to have a very sensitive spam-spot. im posting about the current topic (twhl model vault). the only reason it wouldnt be %100 on topic is that im disagreeing with you. now whats that law say? something about "freedom of speech" perhaps...

if you want to get permission, your going to have to email the hundreds of model owners out there. and how do you know theyre going to reply? how do you know they still use that email adress?

in Model download section Post #63470
wow, that is immature. you changed your av to insult me just because im not agreeing that resident evil is a good film, and that twhl doesnt neeed a model vault. obviously, since oyur just talking about one site, you havent looked very hard.

"bring them all under one roof"? that would involve searching through veery hl, cs and other mods model sites (and believe me, there are hundreds) and taking the itme to download every model and decide if its good enough to go into a new database, which also involes getting permission for the model to be submitted to a new database. if you feel your up to it...

that wasnt spam. that was a point you should be thinking about.

weve already explained why it would be pointless to have a model vault; all the models we need can be found at other sites that are solely used for model hosting.
