If I don't have the content, I don't have a story and if I don't have a story then all I do have is a useless chamber with stuff happening for no apparent reason... :

In todays world of fast computers and fast internet, surely 11-25mb isn't going to be a problem. ?!

Nah, didn't include the wad's, well... erm I use -wadinclude because I think that just picks out only the textures you've actually used.

I might not finish it for the compo :nervous: too much custom stuff me thinks!

I also could host it, so no-body should have a problem!

Is there like an upper file size limit? Because to get the right feel for mine, I've got a rather long introduction...
Think I'm at about 25mb (11mb when zipped) and I haven't even finished with custom sounds and stuff :aghast:

Add a lip to your doors, and a trim texture so it looks like they're on the rollers that you hear.
Its not really a problem yet, but your lights and stuff on walls, move them 1 unit away from the ceiling/wall and/or func_wall them.

Looks quite good, a bit too similar to HL1 but its set in Black Mesa, so I know you're a bit stuck with how it looks!
Keep it up!

Seventh... we brits are too arrogant to learn new languages, I mean we only spend 2 school years learning another language at GCSE. We're not exactly forced to either, but if you stick at it you can learn anything within a a few months to a year.

Scariest part for me was right at the start of HL1 when it all goes wrong.
This being the 1st time I played it when I was 14... you get teleported to a pitch black room and hear your heartbeat then flashing lights with 3 vortigaunts around you.
Was the 1st time I'd seen anything like that in a game!

Best: Half-Life series, a game you play almost 6 years after buying it must be good!

Worst: I'll have to get back to you, all the games I have I actually got because they're good. So the worst is probably something I haven't played, in which case I can't comment fairly. (FF7 is pretty boring (for me))

Its not really worth a new thread so I don't mean to hi-jack this thread, but I run an OpFor server, which are few and far between, so I would happily host good OpFor and HLDM maps.

I do believe its out of 1, tracerred 0.999
Its just not meant to have the 0.

...and it works, at least for the player.

in Bullet colors? Post #141938
These need to be in your config file:
tracerlength 2.5
tracerspeed 1100
tracerred .999
tracerblue .001
tracergreen .001
(Change colours to suit your needs)
However, it might only change the players, I've not tested.

ARGH! Coding!
lol, I got to learn it sometime...

Anyways adding:
@PointClass base(Monster,TalkMonster, Sequence) size(-16 -16 0, 16 16 72) studio("models/barns.mdl") = monster_barns : "Barns" []
even though barns.mdl was a copy of barney.mdl, it showed in worldcraft as a blue box, and didn't show in game at all :zonked:

I don't know much about theses things, but can you not open the fgd, copy the barney section and replace the model bit with your model?

Or maybe add a new skin to the barney model?

I'd like to know if thats possible for mine!

Edit-> just tried it out, I think it might work...
Add this:
@PointClass base(Monster,TalkMonster, Sequence) size(-16 -16 0, 16 16 72) studio("models/barney.mdl") = monster_barney : "Barney" []
Just replace all instances of barney with your model name.

Testing it in game to see it he acts like one...

in Bands Post #141356
I was in a band:
Name : Flat Rabbits
Members : 4
Positions : Guitar, Drums, Bass, Vocals
Genre : Hardcore Rock
Own Songs : 10
I sang for them.
Me and the drummer from the band (who also plays EVERY instrument) are starting our own weird electronic 2 man samples band. Music along the lines of Beck.

We will pwn, ... eventually.
