Hibernate as in when your computer saves the state and then shuts down completely but then resumes where you left off when you start it up again.
...oh. Right. My bad
@Stu: You're probably thinking of Hibernate as an ORM library for Java. It is often used in web code, but that is because Java (that connects to a database) is mostly used for back-end web stuff. It can be used in desktop Java programs too. There's a .NET port called NHibernate that could theoretically be used in a WinForms app
You win this one, I've forgotten pretty much everything about it. I've had my Hibernate training forever ago and never once had to use it.

...isn't Hibernate a web server based framework and in no way related to winforms apps?

Like someone else said before, probably the kerb should be a bit shorter. Looks too high as it is.

I'd personally trim the hedges so that the sides are vertical, rather than at an angle. It just looks like you made the brush and then rotated it, and it looks odd. They grow vertically.

Also, ow. Brushwork cars.

like way back before Steam, during the WON HL era, CS installed itself as a mod under the half-life folder, named cstrike
That. But it doesn't really matter, it was more like anecdotal.

in Counter strike .exe Post #317678
Not entirely true. During the WON era it was also distributed as a standalone game. It installed itself to valve/counter-strike/, it was cstrike.exe and it came in its own game disc. I had one such CD at the time. It included a number of mods such as TFC, Wanted, Redemption, HLDM, OP4DM, Ricochet and a bunch more, all of them were accessed as mods of CS as if CS was the base game.

If he were to do that, it would only be fair to implement all the relevant render modes, not just that one.

The problem is that if you set something to Texture/0 you've got yourself an invisible brush in the 3D view. He'd have to put a checkbox somewhere to enable/disable the in-editor render modes, at least.

That's bloody unique in the way that the game DOES NOT ALLOW you to enchant a rod with Luck of the Sea AND Lure. Ever. They're mutually exclusive.

You'd probably have to bump the version back to 1.6.4, seeing as there are no stable releases of any mods since then.

That said, I like Railcraft and Computercraft.

For those who don't know them, Railcraft adds to the transportation side of things. You get track junctions and switches, some fantastic control tracks, the ability to link up minecarts turning them into actual trains and put a locomotive in front, or signalling for a greater order in a rail network. Computercraft adds programmable computers that can interact with redstone (Project Red might be a good addition to it with its bundled cables, replacing RedPower) and Turtles, a sort of computer that can also move around by itself, break or place blocks, etc. There are also printers and networks and stuff.

Or if you'd rather go for something exotic but not too outlandish, Dimensional Doors. It adds some mysterious-looking doors to world generation that take you to pocket dimensions full of unknown. You can also make them yourself and they take you to an empty personal dimension full of void. It's supposedly at beta stage but I think it's pretty stable.

Or maybe Galacticraft, if you want to have a TWHL space program. You can go to the moon or mars or set up a space station.

I was going to suggest Modular Powersuits too but it hasn't been updated since 1.5.2.

I'm not suggesting to have ALL of them, these are just the mods I've played or read about lately that look really interesting but not too over the top like some I've seen (the FTB pack comes to mind). This should give people some ideas :)

Yeah it takes quite a bit to load. It works here but it freezes Firefox for a good 30 seconds every time I switch to that tab. It's a huge file.

[edit] also the "hourly stats" image doesn't really display an image. And if you try to open it separately it just takes you to a login page.

Also, remember that trick where you alter the raw text data in an .map file to angle the geometry and texture in a fitting way? Is there a way to make this a legit editor thing?
I think I sort of know what you mean (manually editing texture axes)
I never knew this was possible either, I'd like to read more on that too. It also gave me an idea.

Would it be possible to specify a rotation/skew angle for a texture by picking two points in the selected face? In the way the ALIGN command works in Autocad, if you use it. I can provide a mockup screenshot if this description is not too clear.

in Combining brush entities in GoldSrc Post #317279
A brush can't be two different entities at the same time. From what I've read (I've never used it) in some cases you can get away with the Spirit engine.

But for this, you make it a func_rotating and make it Not Solid, and then set it to Texture render mode.
