Looks ok, the costum textures make the scene. Architecture is ok. Clifs could use some work and look a little bare and repetitive.

Yes, 50.cal is forbidden in the geneva convention, could be wrong though.

THe funny thing is, people have the illusion that this is a extremely capable and functional rifle. Because it isnt. Its way to big, makes to much noise, and the sheer weight of the thing itself makes sure that you cant extract quikly without leaving your gear behind.

If using IE you can find your favorites in your my files folder, you can make a backup of that. Incase you need to sell your comp or dump for any reason.

Wow, didnt expect such a response, its my first flightsimulator project, mainly inspired by a even that happend almost a year ago. It was when i was cycling home that i noticed low circling choppers. turned out they were practicing droppings from this chopper. i stayed watching at the abandoned industry area. Soon they landed to pick up the next crew only 6/10 meter from where i was standing, the rotorwash was amazing and made some people turn to there cars from all the dus that came blowing by, didnt want to close my eyes though, it doesnt happend everyday that the fastest chopper in the world lands only a few metres from you..

@daub, um. Dont think so. Its already 3000 polygons, though if i would optimize it then it might be possible.

@7th, i was playing with the rendering options. I did turn up the specular and the shiny function property up.

@spag, i still have dozens of parts and details to model. Here is a link for a ingame screeny for those interested. Note that none of the animations work yet, i only got this after experimenting with the default jetranger(copying it and messing around in the model properties so it would load mine.).

Hahaha, try comparing it with the barrel from the FAMEA S.A.F.(earlier in this thread.). You will notice the difference in how i skinned the barrel. For one the other skin is more detailed since i uvmapped it in a different way, but in the other one i didnt use colour, thus keeping it pretty neutral.

Glad you peeps like it, im personaly quite fond on the subtile colours on the barrel. First time i tryed that style, even though its a know technique to add a bleu colour on top and brown on the bottom.

Healthy and gives a good feeling.

At the same time its the solution and cause of all problems.

Fire Fox takes to much resources and fucked up my favorites. Reason enough to ditch it. Takes a hell of a load time to load to. IE is instantly there and doesnt lag up when running FS.

Never tried opera neither am i going to.

Vox, did you also hear about the train wreck theory? That eventualy everything will slow down, reverse and come crashing down right into the center causing a hughe black hole, or a new big bang for whats worth it.

The highest type of PCI card you still can buy is the radeon 9200 and the Gforce Fx5200. Those are the only ones left in The Netherlands, from both 2 i would recommend the 5200. It will run the game.

Seen it before if i recall so. Not quite a modern weapon to be fair. Big as bad with weapons, imagine this weapon being almost 3/4 the height of the person carrying it. I recall seeing a pic of it being operated by 2 persons. The sound of these weapons would instantaniously draw all attention to your area. That is why it's hardly used and modern day army's prefer the smaller light caliber weapons.

The bigger guns may have the range to fire a kilometer, but its extremely hard calculating your lead on such a range, taken bullet drop into account and then try to hit a moving target.

If i would model it? Sure! :)

EDIT: that australian rifle is a Anti-tank weapon. Its not a sniper.
