I've been listening to this nearly non-stop for the past week. (Language NSFW)

Kinda weird for me, I generally despise rap and everything associated with it. I suppose it's a very rock-y rap... and, of course, its subject matter makes it far more enjoyable to listen to than the usual fare.

The fact this is now the Dragons' intro music in VGCW helps immensely :D

Just a thought... see what that looks like with, say, searchlights pointed out into the void. (Obviously with the transparent brush "light" coming out of it, otherwise you couldn't see anything.)

I slapped my uni timetable onto my desktop image so I never had to go looking for it. Not gonna post that.
The image underneath, however, is it. Just an image from when I was messing about with Source Filmmaker a while ago.

Was just doing my thing in Hammer when I suddenly realised what I was doing is going to be probably a couple times longer than Hammer's grid.
Do I recall talk of Sledge being able to support larger maps?

No-one's ever on whenever I check.
Except that one time, before I'd downloaded all the maps, and it kicked me out because of that, and I couldn't be bothered downloading them, so yeah.
But now I have and I'm lonely =(

I love bounce, never had a problem with it. Love launching satchels with the bouncers, setting tripmines in screw-you locations, longjump-kamikazeing with grenades... okay, most of those apply to any of the maps, but I still like bounce.

To confirm, is that size the absolute limit, or just the playable bounds? I mean, Goldsource ain't got skyboxes.

I've got the same sort of deal. For some reason, I suspect it's the textures. I think I just prefer the simpler, less pressured-to-be-realistic style of gldsrc.

Atom must have just overwritten the image with the new one, hence why it's in the image before Rim's as well.

I've been using Firefox forever. There's never been anything about it that bugged me to the point of even glancing at an alternative. It could be he worst browser there is by popular vote, but unless it breaks completely, hell, works just fine for me.

Out of curiosity, what kind of "features" are you referring to, Stu?

This sounds like what I'm after. You mean sort of have the brushes tied to entity in a checker'd fashion?

I know I tried tying everything to the same entity before and that didn't look right. Is it because they were touching?

I'm looking to make a fog effect in Goldsource.

-Not really over large areas, quite patchy
-Doesn't have to be pretty, just... foggish
-Cannot use coding
-Must be, if done through brush entities, low in entities

The way I have been doing it (a few func_illusionary brushes w/ transparent glass texture) worked fine, but it doesn't like compiling when there's >500 brush entities, it seems.

Any suggestions?

I use the arch tool for everything. I don't know how anybody could survive without it
Naturally it took a while and plenty of tinkering to figure out precisely how it worked, but once you do, you'll never go back.

And I haven't carved in a long time. I prefer just making my walls/etc out of multiple brushes (perhaps through shift-dragging and resizing), since same effect + completely predictable/controllable result.

Clothes, stuff, and a remote control helicopter (not one of those dinky little 2-3 inch tall ones, this one is around a foot tall).
I've also got a second monitor on hold, as I want to make sure this computer can actually HAVE a second monitor before she goes and buys one.

I can't say I like the blurred ones. But that's just me; I'm not fond of blurs in general. I like the Imperialistic Lightning Glint. Blue is best simply because it's by far the easiest to tell that it is coming off of Earth; The others are harder to see Earth's details in, which I reckon miffs their potential.

I'm picky.

You didn't say you wanted a WORKING map >.>
But if you insist, add to the previous before compile:
+M1, drag over everything, -M1, Enter, M2 new shape, Hollow, Enter. Entity Tool, M1, select info_player_start (if applicable), Enter.
See, making things work is too much trouble.
