Hey! What are you doing with my party? And my clothes?
At least you didn't get my beret.
In all seriousness, though, I'll see if I can't find something screenshot worthy in my second playthrough.
Which will start shortly.

Just finished it alongside the NCR. While I would have liked to have post-game events be a bit different, I think I did pretty well.
Also, after I went back to make a batch of saves (In case they make a broken-steel esque expansion that lets you keep playing after the end) I started dicking around, and Rex told me someone fell down a well!
Wild Wasteland. FTW.

Aside from being jumped by three old grannies, I haven't found anything that could be a result of my having the wild wasteland perk... :(
Huntey: Thanks! I'll look into that, hopefully I can do it in the time I have left.

I love it, but I'm a bit pissed at the moment because Cass' personal quest made me kill a couple of NCR allies, and now I can't finish the main storyline the way I want to because they shoot at me if I go to hoover, and they've also dispatched rangers to kill me if I don't get my rep up. And if I defend myself, that will of course make them hate me more.
Is there any way to get my NCR rep up quickly without doing a quest? I've bent over backwards for them, and now they're gonna kill me.

Anyhoo, After being brutally shot in the face, I made my way, along with my lightweight leather armour and sturdy caravan shotgun, to a few towns, including one that had been destroyed by these assholes dressed as romans. Then I traveled to Novac, where I helped launch a rocket and avenge a death. Then I got a sniper to follow me around to kill the legion, (The romans) then I went to vegas, etc, etc. Nothing too interesting, and I was having too much fun to take screenshots.
Oh, and at one point I obtained a "Pimp-Boy 3000" then immediately reloaded my last save because it looked really stupid and there was no way to revert it to the old Pip-boy.

Not really. The one in Colony 42 is just the magnum with new models and sounds at the moment.

I used spirit to set certain barneys with a new voice type from a custom sentences.txt and then set the model paramater to the otis model. As for a wiki page, make a link on your user page (on the valve wiki) to the page you want to make, follow it, and then edit the new, blank page from the link.

You can download the source files for Ambient.Impact's HD arms here; the blue shift folder contains a set of scientist skins for the barney hands.

I don't have any custom weapons per se, just reskins. The deagle is just the magnum using an HEV-arm hacked version of the oppossing force deagle.
I use spirit, and you should be using it too.
Don't give up on your mod, keep at it.

I have to say, I'm not really digging the "SD" textures. Too much fake bumpmapping/emboss is what always turns me off a "SD" model, which is why I usually go for just plain old HD with AI/Romka's quality in polys and textures.

1) Yes. I like them because... well, hell. I dunno. Good writing
is usually found in 'em, I guess?
2) Everything Potatis said plus everything is destroyed; buildings have huge holes in them, highways are crumbling, etc. People are just trying to get by with makeshift houses and little in the way of supplies.
3)Any robots or robot parts from before the apocalypse, plus whatever can be found. I'm talking along the line of car parts with AK-47s strapped to them.
4)Depends on whether it's a ship or a missile. If it's the near future, today's tech. Missiles would stay much the same shape, but perhaps smaller, and ships would most likely evolve from the missile-esque shape we currently use, and become more rounded and flattened.

Have you tried using a later version of spirit such as 1.5a4 or 1.8? (Download links)
I don't usually use fog in Spirit, but I'm sure that it works in the latest official builds.

The reason They Hunger is still using the default splash is because the steam version of HL uses a completely different UI system, and instead of using the WON .bmp splashes, they have the splashes in the resource folder, comprised of multiple TGA images; They Hunger was never designed for steam, as it was released beforehand. You can get a steam splash creator somewhere (I think the mods for steam tut has a link), and I've used it to replace Steam HL's splash with the WON splash.
As for spirit, does it refuse to run, or does the fog just not work?

Yeah, use placeholders when you need to, and focus on refining the writing/plot and making great maps; when you get media of those maps out, you should be able to attract tons of voice actors, and a refined script will not only get the plot across better, but make your mod sound as intelligent as possible.
(Basically, don't do what I did, do better.)

Btw, does anyone happen to know of a good freeware program for synthesizing music? I want to experiment with maybe composing my own soundtrack for the mod on top of the HL tracks. I've tired ACID Xpress, but it doesn't seem to really be...useful, between the constant ads for the full version and it seemingly being unable to add notes from the keyboard into the tracks.

MAJOR UPDATE:
Due to the actions of three people (Someone I don't know who asked if the mod was still being developed earlier this year, Discostu, and someone who will remain nameless for the time being because of the classified nature of their proposed contribution), I am pleased to announce that development will officially resume shortly, just as soon as I can figure out which of my computers has the current build. The 5 people who are actually mildly interested in the mod can now celebrate by closing this tab at the end of this post, which is now.

Yeah, sparks above NPC's heads- even when they're just standing there, though. And this is in the Vanilla maps, too. That's why I prefer 1.5a4 over 1.8, because it doesn't have that, and 1.8 doesn't really add any new features.

Soup: True, I was doing that, but it just didn't look right on the texture fsr. And yeah, the bricks are a bit thin.
And I am using the industrial fact to my advantage a little; while they're mostly corrugated warehouses, I have offices in brick and concrete.

Of course, I'm not working on this map anymore; I'm leaving it for a while and hopefully coming back to make it larger and better looking later. But I'll try to remember everything but the cat and the ship. ;)

I'll be honest here. It seemed like a good idea at the time.
I wanted to be a modder (Before I joined up here, I had only been on a couple of modding wikis, and that was the full extent of my internet knowledge besides crappy game websites for kids) and my name is Jeff. I basically chose this because a friend said my other choice (A character from a Star Wars novel) was a stupid idea. JeffMOD also seemed unique, like no one else would use it. (Which, again, turned out to be wrong.)

My name is Jeff. I like to 'MOD'. For better or for worse, I'm stuck that way.
