erm the only thing i whould be pleased with at the minute is a tutorial that actually tells you how to do a wireframe! skeletons are easy enough to do!

yep done so, oh yes i for got to tell him that on my the multi-page messages tut there is two places of custom textures, but only the floor and the desk, they will just turn up in psychedlic colours.

that would be very wierd in game though ministeve!

for a realistic sized piece of paper in the game could only fit somthing a few words at most nothing more! other wise you wouldn't be able to read it,

now if it had a lot of stuff on it then you would be looking at a mountain of papers all over the place!

yes but that only allows for smothing like 40 characters/ letters, and will crash the game if any more! trust me i used it as part of trial and error for my letters aswell Dark Pheonix and its not easy a string of triggers..etc crash the game after the 3rd trigg and the 4th never works

but i will be adding a tutorial on it at the end of the week (hopefully),
look at this space!

Also Dark Pheonix guess you been playing the you know what mod , ahemm H.O.E

yes i believe it does but they guy who made HOE only used WC 2.1 AND WC 3 never the other thing?

i got close with a string of triggers but after the fourth it kept crashing no matter what!, i'am still fiddling about via trial and error, but i stick to my estimate of the end of the week!

to all those interested i'am in the process of making a tutorial on readable letters the sought you will find and read in heart of evil, so far its coming along pretty good and i should have it uploaded/posted on this sites tutorial section within the week.

BTW its more harder than you think!

friendly was used in Half life wasn't it, i thought i saw it in a observation tank?, Also they probably couldn't find the adequate or perfect place for most of the unused stuff and thus, didn't use them but left the pak0 untouched?

jeesus i got two firewalls running and never have any problems, i got xp's firewall running and Norton internet sec 2004 firewall going aswell and my speeds havn't changed and no problems have i encountered

well its kind of a stalemate in my family, my mum i a genius at stuff to do with digital photos and altering them on an expert level, my brother in law can take a pc to pieces litarly and put it together again in less than 20 minutes, he works for dell computers, in the maintenance section, my stepbrother can do an insanely i amount of very good programming of nearly the lot going, and i now how to bypass security software and know a greatdeal of software maintenance. i'm 17

perhaps, i could make it so that i change my notion of what will be in the later sectors, 6-8? than what i was originally going to put in them.

well this is the sector plans(more of a concept)

sector 1 = beginning/inner city
sector 2 = derelict factory site(saught of an old factory area, ie old cotton factory?)

Sector 3 = old dockyard
sector 4 = some saught of wood or very big rural park( ie like sharewood forest)

sector 5 = Old collery and mine? (not too sure on this one)
sector 6 = Natural cavarn system?
sector 7 = valley system?
sector 8 = quarantine zone?

of course it will be free, but i will release the demo once i have finished
all of the first 3 sectors, but the full thing will have about 8 or 9 sectors totalling somthing like 30 odd maps or somthing like that, this means it will run through in to half life 2 release but i will, when HL2 gets released convert it into HL2 format hopefully if possible and make it an half life 2 mod, but thats about a month and a half away i think and i can have half of my 1st mod (episode 1) done by that time, not bad seeing as i'am working alone on this one to actually do the maps.

thanks alot people thats alot of ideas i'am gonna incorperate them into the first sector (first sector is composed of 6 maps now) originally before i remodelled it, it was 3 maps :)

any way i don't think its a good idea to code encrypt any thing other than simple everyday text docs. and stuff like spreadsheets..etc
it just causes to many problems, and you can't totally get rid of password encryption without damageing the thing its self, ie corrupting it.

as far as i know all of those that you mentioned, well the petrol station, Medical facility and police station were all used at some point or other, i feel i need to stay away from the places that you wen't to in they hunger, just as much as i'am making my zombies a fairly lot different to the ones in they hunger that were just so funny.

i'll tell you somthing though its more difficult than you think, to think up of locations that have not been used by a similar mod. Even the person who created Heart Of Evil had this trouble.

no not really, they hunger is just wiered! don't get me wrong i think the hunger trilogy is prolly one of the 3 best mods out there, but the places where you can go are bizzare, from a church in the middle of a mountain range, then through a swamp, to a lava filled sinkhole up through the earths crust and straight into an loch/River which as a arch of rock somehow?, then to a railway track that leads to a dam which then backs onto the train maintenance building, which later leads to a wierd wild west town, to that fat a**-h*les cop shop then through a old english inner-city with sewer, then through a strange high security pathway, that leads to an jail and asylum that are next door to each other.

mine is going to be more realistic in respect to places you can go rather than having greatly varying areas like Neil M did on They Hunger, and also my mod shan't have much in the way of comedy/annoying idiots like the sherriff, unless i don't solve the non flinching moshing zombies problem.

Also thanks ministeve for the ideas, :)

erm are you sure that your landmarks/ on both maps in question correctly configured and have you configured your level change properly, the sideways problem happaned to me a few times until i found out my landmark was wrongly configured on one map.

hello i've just remodelled most of the first sector (contains 5 maps), and was just wandering what sort of areas/buildings could i had to a towns suburb area that haven't really been over used, currently, i'am doing a furniture shop. but i need to think of other places, but having too much difficulty.
the second best i came up with was a luandrette?

any ideas?
