make the retinal scanner a func_wall. after the scripted sequence is done...have i trigger a multimanager which triggers sounds and stuff and then triggers the door
if the player uses the scanner put a aaatrigger brush and make it a button that does not move to trigger another mm that makes just noises and then a sound saying "cannot enter" or whatever you want

I have several problems with some of my maps......whenever I test a map (not all but some i made) and i look in different angles....some of the brushes dissapear and the dev says "short [number] surfaces". And one of my maps there is a ladder [func_wall] behind a pole wider than the ladder, when i look at the pole, sometimes i can see the ladder through the pole

can someone tell me what is wrong

Is it me or does every forum site end up dieing because of too many spammers that dont listen to the rules or dont pay attention to signs (depending on the site ) like....TUTORIALS....and such

actually i tested it and 2000 makes it look funny--->in one angle it looks slow but in another it looks fast

forgive me if this is in the tutorials (i searched and did not see it) but one of the parts to my super generator of doomness has a spinning part that starts off. once you turn the machine on the spinner has to take about 6 sec before it gets to a speed of 600. I have acc/dcc ticked, what else do i need to have set---friction, and what would be a good number for it....?

voltigores dont help the humans in hl2 the alien slaves or vortiguants do......if you notice, the green neck bands and rist bands are a security device used by the controllers so that if the slaves decide to go renegade, the rist/neck bands terminate the slave.............why deos everybody think the gman is the administrator....no the gman works for the administrator.

whoever anonymous was.....teaching someone how to map is nothing like teaching a new launguage....i am curently teaching four people with know mapping skill whatsoever. One of them made his first map the best noob map i have ever seen....EVER......but, BUT, I have constant contact with them......as for this doodle, use the tutorial section.....thats the best you can do

Well the vortiguants have no reason to kill the humans there just being controlled by the nihilanth and....uhum...alein controller. Just a guess but i think the xen are just really pissed off because we reached into there refrigerator without asking so they decided to attack the humans........exept for the bullchickens that just want to much and mate...yes mate.

Yes i know creating nodes for grunts and others is easy but what about stairs. i have one set of stair cases with a hight of 16 from the tops of each step and using impulse 197 it showes the path complete but i made a copy of the same stairs but made it going the opposite way......like a regular stair room....and the paths dont complete. So does anyone know the dimensions for the maximum hight the monsters can go

ok in the whole hl story.....does the gman mean for the accident to happen becuase even before the accident he has a sharp eye on sheapard in bootcamp......and sais "the border world xen is in our controll for the time being, thanks to you" so i think that he wanted it to happen so that they could take over xen. but then again i think the xen planted the specimen that went into the antimasspectrometer....so they could stop the humans from invading their world.....and still it was prophesised from the xen that a man named "freemon would cross worlds" and releasing the telnorps and making the zan fight the xen.....from hl redemption...........so im all confused
