I shouldn't need to tell you why i'm closing this thread. You've created a large number of rather spammy threads lately, and the last thing TWHL needs is more fail pics, heck TWHL3 is getting 4 of them.

There isn't one. Promote your map -on Friday- with the shoutbox. If you have things to discuss about it (which judging by what you've written, you don't) or you wish people to look at, then don't create the thread days early and expect it to sit there idle. You just make a moderators life more annoying.

Also, congratulations. This is the ceremonial 100th time i've linked you to the guidelines and the ceremonial 100th time you've neglected to obey them.

No I don't, because it doesn't have to be. It's a very broad art style and yet all they seem to want to do with it is brown industrial/rural/mining maps. Got bored of them in a week.

The new game mode is showcased in Goldrush - the map that will ship alongside cp_badlands in a little over a month from now. One team must escort a small mining cart through a series of Dustbowl-like map segments.

Mainly env_sprites, info_target's, and env_beams, but there's some func_rotating's and other special entities in there that serve a secret purpose. ;)

Why it is clearly an Inter Galactic Rimrook Healing / Teleporter for a space themed floating rock with a Roman coliseum on top.

I've read that it ISN'T the monster falling to earth, it's a satellite. The monster is supposed to be an infant creature that's been lying dormant at the bottom of the ocean for god knows how long.

The company Rob is going off to work with mines and explores the deep sea for something called 'deep sea nectar' which they use in their drink "Slusho". Something happens, awakens the monster, pulls in the satellite and shit hits the fan.

Quite frankly all of what i've read of the backstory is totally messed up. That's the problem with viral marketing though, it.. gets out of hand.

Heh, went to see it yesterday, not with the best expectations either.

SPOILERS:

I thought it was quite good up into I realised that absolutely everyone was going to die, you wouldn't see the monster get what it deserves in the end, and that there's absolutely no pay off for sitting through it all. Not a great movie, but great entertainment.. up until the final ~20 mins.

That thread was locked and eventually deleted, it was quite frankly disgraceful. We are considering what to do with the users in question. If someone does something that we believe merits a suspension, obliteration, a warning or whatever, it will happen, don't worry.

Unfortunately, there were other people involved who commented rather immaturely and we're getting quite fed up with it. To my recollection you didn't do anything worth a bother, Urbanebula.

I'm not sure, but I think that's due to the model being compiled with an unlit material, which means it'll have to be decompiled, edited and recompiled to fix it. Not my fort

Well it's no use doing it yet until we get it all sorted on TWHL3, the vault.. 'tags' are most likely going to change significantly and then they'll probably only be for the major games/mods.

I like the idea myself, wouldn't be hard to implement. We'll/I'll get back to you on this.

EDIT: To the best of my knowledge there is only one HL2D map out at the moment, so it'll probably be a case of when/if the mod picks up in popularity.

thehalflifedude: This is a waste of a thread, if you're not using it for your mod, and that's all you want to say, then shoutbox it or something. I strongly suggest you read up on the forum guidelines before posting again. You should also have received a PM recently regarding your forum behaviour, I suggest you read that too.
