Not really, i edge-extrude the windows in, then i extrude it down, then i just sew it up by creating polygons and target-welding, it only requires some testing and clear thinking. since you already got the main shape from the windows, the roof is the hardest to do from the inside, and the bonnet is also never easy to do in my humble oppinion.

Slice: you get a plane, only defined by a yellow boundary, it will cut your model in half where you place the yellow plane, mind you that only the edges of the plane are visible.

If you really want a challenge, then i recommend that you model a car, its quit hard to do imo, its the hardest thing you can model.

Actualy, a steel-concrete-reinforced 2meter(6feet) thick wall bended like it was made of rubber. And that was in a building next to the reactor.

You are wrong habboi, you need to decompile the gun you want to replace first, then look up the reference smd and scale your model so it will fit the bones, then recompile it.

2 entry's in total. Though its probably not bad considering most people on this website dont know how to model.

If there will be a next competition we should probably pick a easier subject, something in the line of buildings. Maby incorporate the texturing part to.

The picture of the card looks real, there is hardly any shadow visible, and the colours match. Unseless you can see more of the enviroment i dont think you can say its fake. Neither can i be sure its real.

Congratulations , Spag has won the first competition.

He created a excellent model, especialy for a first time.

Second is rowleybob, he also created a excellent weapon for a first time.

Il post more detailed reports later, it will contain things i liked and disliked about the model + constructive critism.

For bf2, only use the supplied drives that came on the dvd. Others wont work or will crash the game.

@ spag, you can send me the model file with the reference picture you used. Though if you like you can also add a text file with extra info on the model, what you like/dislike about it, etc. Though that is not required.

None, mliteration isnt used for game-modeling. Meshsmooth only shows us the smoothing as seen by the game engine. You use literations for highpoly modeling.

If i where you i would calm down a bit. Seems like you cant handle things when you dont get what you want. And really, try reading the manual, on the steam website you can also find all the info required to set-up a server. Lots of people are able to do this. Somehow you dont.

You see 7th, there is the so called bottle neck, somehow people arent able anymore to read a manual. And when something refuses to work they blame the computer/program.

Somehow these people have a brain disease, unfortunately enough for them we cant help them.

Yeah, it increases your accruacy, i usualy leave it at default.

Thanks for pointing that out, i usualy fidle around a bit with a material to adjust transparancy.

yeah, i use G-max, and madcow that was exaclt what i was planning to do, and it would be great if you would want to do the compiling and fixing animations! Saves me time, since im quite buzzy right now. Not much free time at the moment.

1. You cant adjust the grid afaik, but you can change the amount the grid, example: 1unit = 1 meter. 1unit = 10 meters. This is mostly used by games as flightsimulator that uses scales. Though at the bottoms are 3 magnet icons with other symbols, toggeling these can turn on snap to grid.

2, this is a viewport set-up, it should be only in the active one, unseless you select all viewports, you can adjust it here:

And here i dragged my mouse over the z axis you see in the object and moved it along that one.

I have searched for the water a long time, now i can guide people to it and offer them a bowl to drink.

Yeah, there are serval versions, i decided for a railed expendeble version. The one your talking about is the stock one, but if you want the weapons as in hostile intent, then there is more work to be done, and then il probably have to redo the weapons, though it might be a bad idea since hostile intent is also going to source.
